My Personal Opinion
We all have an opinion about everything. I decided to share mine.

What is the world coming to? There is so much hatred, so much violence. People getting robbed for something as simple as their cell phone. Rape. Someone gets killed because they are mistaken for someone else. Mass shootings. The list goes on. But, I have some topics that I want to talk about.
The criminal justice system is very broken. There are people who are in prison right now that shouldn’t be in there and people who are walking free that should be in prison. Not everyone in prison is guilty. Some people who yell “I’m innocent” are actually telling the truth. But the judge locks them up anyway. Why? Because it makes their job easier and it helps the detectives move on to something else.
For all we know, the judge got paid for the verdict and the detectives could have misplaced evidence (so they say), paid the witnesses not to talk, intimidated them so they wouldn't talk or paid them to lie on the witness stand.
Here is one big issue that burns me up: Justification for killing a mentally ill individual. Law enforcement officers are quick to shoot now and ask questions later. Bold statement but I said it.
So, I read a story online where a man had a knife, keyword a knife. Police shot at him 21 times, 18 shots hit him. My problem: the man was schizophrenic and it was justified because he “appeared” to be a threat.
The investigation lasted 11 months. So, you mean to tell me it takes 11 months to prove that it was/wasn't justified? I highly doubt that.
The man had been involuntarily committed before so they can’t say that they weren’t aware of his illness. It was stated that the situation could have been handled differently but yet, it wasn't.
Now, on to politics. I don’t even know where to begin. Being president is too big of a responsibility for me. There are too many big decisions to make and as you can see, things aren't going too well for our country at the moment.
Every president makes this promise: “If you elect me, I will do this.” “If you elect me, I will do that.” It’s a statement. Some of us vote for the person that we think can live up to it. Some of us vote for the person who said that and what else they promised that they could do. Well, look where it got us.
John F. Kennedy and Abraham Lincoln were two of the strongest presidents we had ever had. Abraham Lincoln abolished slavery in 1865.
John F. Kennedy accomplished a lot during his presidency. But he was concerned with civil rights and he proposed a civil rights bill that led to the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
You know why I said they are strong presidents? Because they defied the odds. 2 white presidents concerned with the treatment and well-being of black people. This was not something that they were popular for I'm sure. The only time I heard anything about Kennedy was when he was assassinated.
Those are what I call model presidents. They didn’t have to make 1 million promises. They didn’t have to make 1 million speeches. They did their job and that was it. But today, all you see on the news is the president himself, his issues, the White House, etc.
People get mad about things that they hear or the things that they see. The president has a job to do. We don't always agree with the decisions that are made but there is nothing we can do about it. You can protest and rally all you want to.
I love my freedom and I have way too much going on in my life to be doing all of that. Instead of rallying and protesting, use your energy to get a prayer group together and pray to God. Stop wasting time acting foolish because life is short and tomorrow isnt promised.
To conclude I say this: Without God, the world cannot stand. Seek his guidance and follow his plan.
