My Five Agreements of life- Breaking Old Agreements

Before I get started let me tell you I'm the one who has gone through the best and the worst of life. In fact, now I feel there is no phase in life which we can call the worst phase, every phase of life is a lesson to you. With my full experience and mistakes that I have done, I write my five agreements of my life for the year 2021.

I categorized my agreements based on my visualization viz what is needed for me to be successful? What are my new year resolutions for a healthier lifestyle? What I need to accomplish moving forward? What should I do to make it happen? What pushes me backward and how can I overcome my emotions?

So, here are my five agreements of life:

#1 Health is wealth

2020 has taught everyone of us a great lesson i.e., health is wealth. We saw in the pandemic every corner was locked that we had never imagined of. I observed the biggest and busiest cities were like barren lands. As a biological student I got that everything is important in life but nothing is more than health. We do our job or maybe we do something else, all we do is, harm our health for the sake of work. Millions of people died due to pandemic, millions of people die due to other causes and millions of people die because they kill themselves viz by smoking, sleeping less, using phone more than normal, lack of exercise, fast foods, junk foods and drugs. So, today I take an oath that my first preference will be my health always. For this to make it happen I will do a daily exercise, go for a walk and will have a proper balanced diet. Studies have shown that the lack of sleep disrupts the metabolism of the body. I have studied Human Physiology, I know, our body starts detoxification by around 11:00 pm and ends after 3 hours. Detoxification is done by the liver, to start this process we must be asleep. If we are awake like studying, watching television or doing anything else. Our body will not be able to detoxify the harmful substances and ultimately we may fall ill. So, for my better health I will sleep early and wake up early.

Early to bed and early to rise make a man healthy, wealthy and wise

#2 Family first

Family is not an important thing. It's everything.

Again in the covid-19 pandemic I learned it is only your family that is always there for you. Everywhere there was sudden lockdown. People who were far from their families had to return to them. There I felt that life is actually living with your family. I take an oath that from today I'll spend most of my time with my family.

#3 Vocal media creator

Being a good creator is not an easy job. And I like this because it's my passion. When you do something that you like to do, you don't get tired. I found out about vocal media through medium, and I really love it. So, my 3rd agreement of life is that I'll try my best to be a top notch creator on vocal media. I'll write stories from the core of my heart. Being a biologist I'll invest my knowledge into vocal media.

For this I'll have planned to write at least one story every week. I've planned I'll write mostly from these niche; Life, Biology, Biotechnology, Motivation and some tit bits.

#4 Reading more than 1000 books

This is really my best aim for this year. I have prepared myself for this challenge. It's obvious that knowledge is power. So, for this year I've targeted to read and understand 1000 books this year. So of the best books I've planned to read are as:

* Wings of fire by A. P. J. Abdul Kalam

* The God of small things by Arundhati Roy

* The Theory of everything by Stephen Hawking

* Campbell Biology by Joseph Campbell

* The best of Faiz by Faiz Ahmad Faiz

For all this to accomplish I'll plan to read a book every 2-3 days. This big feast can be only achieved by having a stable mind. For a stable mind I've already told that I'm gonna do exercise.

#5 High density plants

This year I've planned to go organic. I've many orchids that I use to harvest many varieties of apple, peach, plum, walnut and American apple. This year I've planned to plant the Italian apples. The best thing about Italian apples is they are high yielding and disease resistant. Such plants that are high yielding, better disease resistant and accumulate less area are called High density plants. Not only Italian apples, I've planned to plant red gala apples and American apples.

For this to happen I've already talked with the horticulture department.

Coda:

In 2020, almost all resolution got upside down. All I can say for 2021 is All the best. Hope we all get our resolutions done. All we can do is hope for the best.
