Meet talented music artist Baby CTM

What’s your artist name and where are you from?

I go by the name of Baby CTM and I’m from Newark, New Jersey born and raised. I moved to Atlanta, Georgia when I was 12 and came back to New Jersey when I was 18. I feel like me also being from the south gave me the versatility to do almost anything when it comes to music.

Why do you love music?

Well as a kid I’ve always been free-styling in the mirror reciting Many Men by 50 Cent when I was at least 5 years old. When I listen to music, I break down every key, every note, and every tone it’s fun to me. Music helps me out with a lot of things I’m going through, music is like my happy place. Music helped me go through a lot of things such as losing family members, losing friends, and even being depressed at a point in time. It’s like music is my therapist to whom I can vent when there is nobody around for me to talk.

What makes you different as a music artist?

I can honestly say I’m super versatile I can do everything from melodic to drill, even pop to R&B. I’m very adaptive when it comes to genres. I try to focus on stepping outside my comfort zone. I also know how I like the presets on my vocals to how I want the hooks to sound. I am very meticulous when it comes to music I like to make sure I pay attention to every little detail. Eventually, I want to move into a position to produce and make beats for me and other artists. I never want to be comfortable. A lot of people feel like because they got a small buzz they can chill and relax. I rather lock in the studio and make at least 8 songs a night. I can hop on a feature with any artist. Not being cocky but I don’t just have a strong area, I’m strong all around.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

I see myself having my label and giving other people the opportunity to express themselves through music because I know how a lot of people never get that chance. In the industry, a lot of people get looked over because they don’t have the view count or a buzz, but It’s a lot of underrated artists as far as myself who are very talented and just need to get heard by that one ear. I can also see myself top 5 on all streaming platforms to the Billboards respectfully.

What do you want to accomplish in life?

I want to be able to take care of my family and show the world that’s it’s more to the world than just gang-banging & beefing. If everyone could come together as one we could accomplish way more. I want to accomplish so much in life that I want to use music as a vehicle to get to where I want to go. I want to be a mogul like 50 or Diddy that expanded into other areas of business.

What do you bring to the music world?

I bring good energy, pain, tears, smiles, versatility, wordplay, and music for the OG’s to the new generation. Which makes me good to work with any artist. My ability to network with other artists and managers makes me a perfect asset as well.

What do you want to be remembered for?

I want to be remembered as a young prodigy that was way ahead of the game before he got up in the game. I want to be remembered as motivation for the youth who constantly hustle every day just to get something to eat, I want to be motivation for the people who were told they wouldn’t be anything in life. I want to be remembered as someone who spoke for people who didn’t have a voice while having fun at the same time. Lastly, I want to be remembered as a person that put my state on the map and showed the industry there are a lot of dope artists in New Jersey.
