What’s your name and where are you from?

My name is Alvin Askew Jr and I go by the artist name, “Rockstar Rico”. I’m from Mobile, Alabama. Home of the Murder and Mardi Gras, sad to say but that's just the way it is down here. Hopefully all

of this change someday.

Why do you love what you do?

I love making music so much that it became very therapeutic for me. It has been numerous times when I then cried while recording songs. I will be so impressed by the way I will be able to express my feelings and make them sound very good in a song. I have a passion for making music and expressing my feelings so that others can be able to relate and know that they’re not the only ones going through whatever the situation is. It's just something about the studio and recording into the microphone. I'm not a very sociable person so the only time I talk is through my music.

What makes you different?

I’m a Rockstar, one and only. I’m not afraid to

express my feelings. I stand out with the way I dress and the way I flow in my music. Not to be cocky or anything, I'm the most humbled person you would ever know but can’t anyone be like me, God created every one of us differently. Therefore no one should want to be like anyone, be better. It's okay to look up to someone but you should always want to be better in my opinion.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

In 5 years I see myself in the best position to take care of my entire family and put everyone in better situations. I see myself having a bank account for my daughter with millions of dollars for her to be able to get whatever she wants. I also see myself being the biggest in the music industry with a lot of Grammy Awards and songs with my biggest influencers.

What do you want to accomplish in life?

I honestly just want to put my mom and dad in a nice big house and take care of all their bills, buy them the cars that they want, and whatever else they may want so they can enjoy the rest of their lives. I put everyone else before myself, I've always been like this. A nice record deal from a major label would be very nice as long as everything sounds good to me. I just want to perform in front of thousands of people and listen to them sing my songs word for word, that'll be so amazing to me. That's my biggest dream, I pray to

God for that every single night.

What do you bring to your industry?

I want to be the person in the industry that starts a whole new wave for upcoming artists. I want to be known as the greatest to ever do it. I've been working so hard for many years to get to where I want to be. God will bless me. I'm coming full

force and I will not let up, ever.

What do you want to be remembered for?

I want to be remembered for my versatility. How I can express my deeply sad feelings on this song and I can also turn around, get real hype and start the most pit with this song. That’s what I want to be remembered for in the long run. I want my name to travel for many years as long as this earth is here.
