What’s your artist name and where are you from?

The name is Paco$o and I’m from a small place called Tyler, Texas; Rose capital of the world.

Why do you love music?

Music and I have a deep relationship, I do music to keep the lid on mishandled emotions and direct them accordingly. Music is a big reason why I’m still on this side of the green. It all really started from the poetry though, I fell in love at a young age and began to fit words together on how I felt. But when it wasn’t love, it was a getaway from the single parent home I grew up in. My older brother was the first to actually rap, I had already started writing poetry ; but seeing him rap did something to me. Along with him rapping with another guy my age made me jealous, in a way I had to learn to rap. My brother was my idol, so anything he did I tried my best to mimic, but eventually my sound took on a life of its own.

What makes you different as a music artist?

My music is derived from the poetry I started writing back in the day,

Over time, it’s morphed into something else, but the base is still there. The older I got, the deeper my emotions injected into my music. Sometimes uncontrollably, but overall my music should feel like an experience. From the beat I chose, the cover art, the mix; I really want you to feel everything.

What makes you different as a music artist?

I try to be as authentic in my music as possible but with the essence of getting positive energy out, best I can anyway. I try to make things feel like I see, like when I talk to my engineer and describe a sound in the weirdest way, he understands though. Everything has a meaning in what I do, even from takes I stumble over or off-topic sounds you may hear from time to time. I try to make moments in time whenever B.O press record.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

In 5 years doing music full time and taking care of the fam, I don’t seek to be famous, but I want to be satisfied and happy with what I do and be able to provide.

What do you want to accomplish in life?

To accomplish a guilt free happiness would be the goal. To be sure in my purpose, and the path I walk is the right one. I really think that’s every true artist desire, but also to have an impact on people that changes their narrative, like my favorite artist done for me.

What do you bring to the music world?

I bring a break from the continuous cycle of what the machine is pushing. Positive energized music that I feel matters. You honestly have to listen to whatever I have to say because I tend to convey different things every time I drop. I really lean on what my soul says when I have no sense of direct intention with the music. Sometimes it’s barred out, and sometimes I’m telling a meaningful story. You get to decipher which you are getting for you.

What do you want to be remembered by?

I want people to remember that I tried going against the grain, never tried to fit in, and always tried to be myself. That being true to yourself can be rewarding, but it’s not always as fast of a gratification as being something you are not. But most of all, my belief that music can heal is true.
