What’s your artist name and where are you from?
My artist name is Jibba and I am from Knoxville, Tennessee. I moved to Nashville back in 2021 to further continue my career as an artist. The underground scene in Nashville provides an outlet for a multitude of creatives and gives life to music as a whole. There’s nothing like going to a show inside a basement packed full of people who love hiphop and everything it has to offer. The Nashville underground scene is surreal and is a great place to develop a career as an artist.
Why do you love music?
I love music because it gives me purpose and is a shared experience I can provide for other people. I truly believe creative expression is fundamental in a society overly obsessed with perfection and stimulation altogether. My music is an extension of myself and I put my heart and soul into tracks when I create. Doing so ensures my art is authentic and relatable for other people when they listen.
What makes you different as a music artist?
I am different as an artist because I produce, mix, and master a vast majority of my songs on my own. I am driven beyond belief, and my confidence comes from within. I do not rely on the opinions of others to create my art, which gives me an advantage because I can motivate myself regardless of what the world thinks. No one can kill my drive and confidence to be something great.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
I see myself building my discography by releasing multiple projects a year and growing my audience to an international scale. I want to change people’s lives with my music and become a familiar face in the rap/hip hop industry. Far too many artist’s are more concerned with the money and the fame, but I am entirely driven by creating beautiful art and changing as many people’s lives as I can through my songs. I hope to work with many other talented artists along the path to success. I love writing songs and want to do so for as long as I possibly can.
What do you want to accomplish in life?
I want to master my art and push my creativity to an elite level. I can see my potential as an artist and want to achieve greatness as fast as I can. I want my music to move people and motivate them to be great in their own right. I love working with new people and growing as an artist daily.
What do you bring to the music world?
I bring a unique and powerful sound as an emerging hiphop artist in the rap game. I truly believe no one’s music sounds like mine, making me and my art one of a kind. I want to be unique and different compared to every other artist and their music.
What do you want to be remembered by?
I want to be remembered and respected as an individual who loves to create and inspire other people. I strive for my music to be unique and stand out from the crowd in a world where the music industry is such a heavily saturated market. My dream is to reach the top with my idols such as J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, and other legends in the hip hop scene. I draw a lot of my motivation and creativity from talented artists and I attempt to grow by observing their creative process. I hope my music is able to inspire and motivate others in the same way J. Cole and Kendrick’s music motivates me. I want to be remembered for the clear and powerful messages in my music written from the heart and soul.

For an entire generation, success has been rebranded as a lifestyle. Don’t settle for average. These are not harmful ideas on their own. The problem begins when effort becomes an identity and rest becomes something to feel guilty about. Many people now measure their worth by how busy they are. The signs of the hustle trap often appear quietly. Skipped meals become normal. Sleep becomes optional. Weekends turn into “catch-up days.” Time with family and friends starts to feel like a distraction instead of a joy. The line between dedication and self-neglect slowly disappears. Psychologists warn that chronic overwork doesn’t just drain energy — it changes how the brain responds to stress. When the body stays in a constant state of pressure, it begins to treat even small challenges as threats. This can lead to anxiety, irritability, and a feeling of being permanently on edge.
