Life Can Suck...Sometimes
When life gets hard, how to push through.

LIFE CAN SUCK... SOMETIMES.
Life is never meant to be easy, never has and never will. That is just life.
Life can suck when you lose your job, or you get a huge bill for something and have no idea how to pay for it. Life can suck when you lose a loved one, or things go wrong in a relationship. Life can suck, but it is how to get through and carry on.
There was a time in my life when life really did suck and well, I wanted it to all stop. Things kept going wrong, I lost a best friend, I felt like an outsider in every relationship circle. But somehow, I am still here. Breathing. Living.
I recently lost a job I just started. It was perfect. Perfect pay, hours, location, great staff, and it all came crashing down one Monday afternoon when we had to close down. Thankfully where I live, we get some sort of finances when trying to find work, however it is far from great, it just covers the bills. Thankfully I have a roof over my head and food on the table. You see, there is always something to be grateful for, even in a time of crises. Even if it is just waking up, or being able to go for a walk, or even have hands to type this.
Storms come and storms go, it is how we deal with those storms and how to come out of them. You see, when a storm hits, it hits hard and then it goes away. It may storm for just 1 day, or it might storm every day for the next 6 months and you have no idea what to do. But when the storm finishes, blue skies are back and rainbows. There is always a moment of relief when a storm passes over.
you see, when I lost my job, a storm came through and I spent a week eating crap food and just wanting to sleep. But even though I did do that, I still had to try and push through and look for work again. 2 weeks later and I am still looking for a job, but I just keep telling myself that there is something and its the matter of finding it. Thankfully, I have a great support net work of amazing girl friends and a loving husband and family to ensure I don't fall into a darker place. Yes, some days are hard, but I know I've got this. We have a saying between myself and my husband and it is "YOU GOT THIS SHIT" or "WE GOT THIS SHIT", because we do, even when we can't see it, we got it.
It is so important to find a support net work if you can, even if it is just 1 person you can talk to about everything, or even someone to walk with when you need company, or even making friends online gaming or chat rooms, just so you don't feel alone. We all feel alone at times, but it is so important to find even just 1 person to help you get through a shit time.
Here are some things I do to help me stay focused but also stop from going down dark holes.
1. Found some new friends to hang with / talk to.
2. Read books that I actually enjoy
3. Watch Netlfix / prime / youtube
4. Gym!!! (Working out is great, not just for the body but for the mind)
5. Shops. Go to the shops and just walk around. Enjoy some food, maybe try on clothes for the heck of it.
Find just 5 things that you enjoy and use those to help you get through a shit time and even find 5 things your grateful for each day and write them down somewhere.
Storms hit, but they don't last forever.
Life can suck, but not all the time.
