Intentions, Influence, and the Art of Productivity.
How Faith and Community Shape the Way We Achieve Daily Success.

Introduction: Productivity Beyond the To-Do List.
At the start of this year, I wrote down a list of intentions, small but deliberate steps meant to guide my growth, both personally and professionally. Eight months in, I have achieved about 75 percent of them. That number is not perfection, but it is a reminder that productivity is not just about crossing items off a to-do list. For me, it is a reflection of who and what we allow to shape our thoughts, actions, and priorities. Productivity is a rhythm that grows when intention meets influence.
The Role of Faith in Productivity.
Scripture has always shaped my perspective on success. In 2 Chronicles 20:20, it says, "Believe in your prophets and you will prosper." This verse reminded me early this year to seek guidance and trust in God’s direction. I followed the teachings of Tiphani Montgomery, who guided us step by step through setting intentions each year. Her approach grounded my plans in faith and purpose. Over time, I have drawn inspiration from leaders such as Katie Souza, Tomi and Tobi Arayomi, Francis Myles, Robert Clancy, Sid Roth, Prophets Uebert and Bebe Angel, Apostle Joshua Selman, Pastor Jerry Eze, The Oyor Brothers, and Pastor Femi Lazarus. Their teachings do not just encourage spiritual growth. They influence how I organize my days, prioritize tasks, and pursue success.
Intentions: Writing Them Down and Revisiting Them.
Writing down intentions is only the beginning. The real power comes from revisiting them, reflecting on progress, and adjusting where necessary. Every few weeks, I return to my list and evaluate how far I have come. This practice reminds me that productivity is not a sprint. It is a journey of consistent, intentional action. For anyone seeking growth, I recommend taking a few moments each week to write down your goals and then review them. Celebrate small wins and let them fuel your next steps.
Influence and Community: The Hidden Drivers of Productivity.
I have realized that the company we keep shapes our output. Being in the presence of other writers, reading their work, and witnessing their journeys has inspired me to create more consistently. Influence does not come only from mentors or teachers. It also comes from peers, communities, and the people whose perspectives we choose to absorb. This blend of spiritual and creative influence has become a hidden driver of my productivity. It reminds me that our environment shapes our daily rhythm as much as our intentions do.
Lessons from the Past Eight Months.
Reflecting on this year, I have learned three important lessons about productivity. First, prioritize spiritual influence. Let what you read, listen to, and follow guide your growth, not just your schedule. Second, celebrate progress, not perfection. Achieving 75 percent of my intentions has reminded me that momentum matters more than flawless execution. Third, balance reflection with action. Intentions are only meaningful when paired with deliberate steps each day. Productivity is not about endless activity. It is about purpose and alignment.
The Pursuit of Right Productivity.
The right kind of productivity is intentional, faith-driven, and inspired by the people and communities that shape our growth. It is not about doing more. It is about doing what matters, aligned with your values and purpose. The right productivity is sustainable, meaningful, and deeply personal. It reflects intention, influence, and reflection working together in harmony.
Conclusion: Bringing It All Together.
Productivity, as I have come to understand, is more than checking boxes or filling schedules. It is a journey shaped by faith, guided by intention, and inspired by the people we allow into our lives. If there is one takeaway from my experience this year, it is this. Define what productivity means for you, surround yourself with the right influences, and take intentional steps each day. Your success, like mine, will be a natural consequence of the choices you make and the company you keep.
