I Did Something Incredible
I made myself a website - just for fun, on Christmas

So... Christmas Day started off as any other. Besides having the urge to create something, it was a regular day. If not this, I was going to cook up a storm or sew a piece without a plan.
I have always wondered if it's really necessary to spend thousands of dollars on a website, especially when you're not a serious business like myself. I have hobbies - but I would like to be taken seriously. You see the difference...
I don't have my own domain but I don't really need one because it's just a hobby. And hobbies shouldn't cost too much. My website is https://spt241.my.canva.site. Please take a look and comment your thoughts. I would love to hear all feedback.
This is a youtube shorts of me marvelling at the possibilities I didn't know existed...
Here is a little Holiday poem:
Overconsumption
food and booze
Just for fun
do you win or lose
Gatherings of people
smiles and fake laughter
good for the soul
we'll find out after
Some never have, even that
fake or real, just a cat
Be thankful be grateful
for the good and the bad
cos the lesson in all
is don't get mad
Now New Years Eve has rolled around.
Today also started off as any other day except I had an interview! Well I had seven days to complete it but I guess I wanted to demonstrate my eagerness. I was initially nervous but when the time rolled around and it was lights, camera, action... I was calm, so calm. It was kinda fun getting ready. It wasn't about needing the job more than seeing if I could accomplish getting it. It was a short, one-way interview. It took about twenty minutes. I've never experienced one of those one way interviews before. It's pretty cool. If I was in human resources, I would definitely utilize Spark Hire for streamlining the hiring process.
The thing with having family in other countries from where you're at, is that if they are ahead in time by nine hours, when their midnight rolls around and they start making New Year's phone calls (you know you get those people who have to wish you as the clock strikes twelve for some reason, we all know someone like that - we may even be someone like that), its only three in the afternoon for you. So you have to bring out your merry, festive personality while your trousers are rolled up and a mop in your hand "Hi Fam!!! Happy New Year whoo whoo!! 2024 was fantastic and 2025 will be better. I wish you happiness and prosperity for the coming year!! Love You, bye!!" You then end the call, drop your fake smile, and get back to squeezing the mop.
For dinner I had a small bowl of chicken stew that I made yesterday. It came out so delicious. I have never made nor have I had chicken stew before and boy did I outdo myself on that one! Growing up, I've only ever had lamb stew, so this was different and delicious. For stews, less is definitely more. I will post it on my youtube channel sometime next week. As I'm writing this, I'm also enjoying a cup of Rooibos tea, peach of course. One cup of caffeine in my morning coffee was enough so this cup of tea is just what the doctor ordered.
The next thing I will do, is get out of my interview hair and makeup. Then jump into some cozy pajamas and then I might just watch a movie. I haven't watched one in six months or so. Snuggle up in bed, why not.
