Isn’t this the way people bait you to read their success stories articles?

The other day I saw an article about “How I made [absurb number] as a beginner on Medium (The secret bait sauce)”. I couldn't help myself but laugh at anyone who will genuinely read this and be inspired.

They claim that everyone that reads their obvious bait story with their amazing tips and tricks and mysteries hidden in a chest on a pirate ship, can make that money as well.

In reality, they're making more money for themselves. Good job on feeding them with more.

Everyone Can Do it, But if Everyone Does it no One will…

Okay, let me explain a little bit more about that.

Let’s assume that we have a 100k pool in dollars.

3 top-earning writers that made 5k of that pool.

They claim that everyone can copy their success and make that amount of money as well. While they do it they increase their money — because you give them attention, and make 10k each.

70k for you, their reader, to claim.

70k divided by 5k makes us 14. 14 writers can make 5k without destroying top writers.

Let’s assume that the writers that try to copy the secret sauce of success are 40.

That means that everyone will make 2.5k only… Top-earning writers will start losing.

They are all about sharing, right? That’s not what they’re after.

The idea is that there’s a limited amount of money in the pool of Medium. And if everyone starts to make a bigger amount of money, top-earning writers will see a drop on their behalf.

So, it appears that we are the winners of this argument.

The Time For Us, The Smaller Writers is Now

We do have the power to earn what we deserve, as writers. It only takes the same time to focus on helping each other than the big heads.

You and I, need to start supporting each other. Even with one read and one clap. We give $5 every month on Medium, and we support people that we read. It’s as easy as it gets to read 10 stories per day from smaller writers that need your support.

I’m personally gonna read only small writers that deserve attention and a lift. And if we manage to alarm more people to do so, we win.

Funny enough, Reddit proved this last week with Gamestop. The power of the masses is greater than the big heads.

Medium writers that earn less than 5k are 99% of the Medium base. It’s as easy as it sounds to all make a living out of Medium if we help each other do so.

It’s Time to Stop Reading Bait Stories

How to make top-earning writers prove their quality?

Stop reading their bait stories.

Make them realize that they have to actually write quality stories to make the money they do.

Kill the habit of creating one bait story that generates thousands of dollars.

They write like one per month and they make 1000+ dollars…It’s insane and unfair to other writers that put their heart and soul to create a unique piece, only to make less than 100 dollars.

Oh…If you are asking how I made 1 million…I won the lottery…Almost the same chances as being a top-earning writer on Medium…
