Hey, my peeps. Hope you are trying to keep your sanity during these times.

Today, I want to discuss feeling stuck. Have you ever felt stuck? I do not know who this is for, but I know what it is like to feel stuck.

Feeling stuck is a mindset, as I honestly believe that. Hell, I feel stuck right now as I write this. That is how real I am being.

Mentally stuck at a job that does not inspire or motivate you at all and the pay is not beneficial; emotionally stuck with a relationship that is in the progression of ending such as a divorce; financially stuck because you want to go after your purpose, not necessarily a dream but your purpose to be an author, entrepreneur, and share your message with the world but your funds never seem to be just right; and spiritually stuck. You are using your faith, whatever that may be, and you just do not see the prize at the end.

I am sure someone can relate to maybe one or even all of those scenarios. I bring this up because people are not being real. For example, people expect you to be happy, all the time and to remain positive. Well, I am sorry to disappoint anyone, but I am not all those things all the time.

I am human, and it is okay to feel blah occasionally. Now, I will say this much, I will not, and cannot feel stuck forever. I got things to do and moves to make. I am about solutions. So, the therapy helps, financial workshop, watering my soul with good vibes by reading inspiring books, and proactively looking for a higher wage job to help with the finances. By any means necessary, I will do it all. And so, can you!

I hope anyone reading this, gets out of their stuck mindset. It does not happen overnight. It is a constant struggle. The mind is immensely powerful so that is why it is important to have patience, and not give up. I am a work in progress and not afraid to say it.

It is so easy to lose sight of what is important. Many times I have allowed distractions, whether it has been people, places, or even things to keep me stagnate. Honestly, feeling stuck is stagnation. As I approached the miraculous age of 33 (yes, any age during Coronavirus is a miracle), I started to look at things from a different perspective.

For example, I needed to examine the root of feeling stuck. One thing I learned, to change, you must be willing to do the work to shift whatever it is you would like to shift. So, during this time of quarantine, working from home, transitioning into being a divorcee (long story behind that), I can sit with myself and ask myself, “where does this stuck mentality come from?”

Then it finally hit me: circumstances from my traumatic childhood are the root but then my overall thinking which is pessimism. Yes, I am a super pessimist with a capital P! Yikes. Every thought, action, or idea is pessimistic. Unfortunately, this is an ongoing situation for me, and am working through it.

I did forget to mention another key component in examining the root of an issue is truth. You cannot expect to change without self-acknowledgment. That’s just like if a person thinks they do not have a drinking problem, then seeking help is out of the question.

Overall, I encourage any of my pessimistic, feeling stuck folks to channel into the root of the problem and address it so you can blossom into who you are really meant to be.

Until next time, I holla.
