Getting to know music artist Generator Baby

What's your artist name and where are you from?

Generator Baby is my stage/artist name and I was born and raised in H-Town baby!! Houston, Texas Goodson Road to be exact.

Why do you love music?

Well simply put music is the soundtrack to our lives, it takes us to specific moment(s) in our existence, for example when you hear that song that reminds you of your first girlfriend or the best summer ever! It’s the way it captures feelings one may not be able to express necessarily, music heals it uplifts when used correctly. It brings people together from all walks of life which is something we need now more than ever.

What makes you different as a music artist?

My raspy passionate feel to the music is different in regards to others approach, u can feel the pain as well as the joy when I bare my soul and allow my vulnerabilities to be exposed and then fade away this is what to expect as I take you with me through the journey of Generator Baby. I truly feel These days the passion in music is gone except for a few artists such as myself, and “On Cynthia” I promise to help bring that back.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

In 5 years, I see myself as a platinum artist a few times over from multiple releases whose name and reach are not relegated to Texas but worldwide! Have the “On Cynthia” event which is dedicated to my mother that passed away in 2016, as a yearly occurrence to give back to the community. I also see myself by that time making the transition into a business owner full time as I am the owner and CEO of Black Label Embassy Ent., as well as BLE Studios along with my wife Champagne Nikki. The aim is to be a full-fledged fully functioning label with the accolades and ability to guide others towards their dreams like I am doing now towards my own.

5. What do you want to accomplish in life?

As an artist it's like I stated above, I want to have those plaques and become a household name!! As a man I strive to be the best father, husband, son, sibling, and friend. My mother passed away in 2016 her name was Cynthia Ann Turner and I promised her that I would take care of the family and keep her name alive. For the past few years, we coordinated the “On Cynthia” event in Houston to give back to the people in the community she so dearly loved I plan on this being something that goes on for a long time in my mother's name. I simply want to be, in my position as the head of the family, able to inspire and assist the next generation.

6. What do you bring to the music world?

I bring a raw determination to achieve greatness a swagger that matches my raspy original sound and the humility to know it’s not all me. These things have proven to be some of the main reasons for the success I am having through music and thankfully life in general.

7. What do you want to be remembered by?

I want my legacy to be one that shows I did what I set out to do. One that, same as my mother's name, I too am remembered for not only my artistry but my genuine love and concern for those near me as well as all over. I was blessed to have people around me that keep me grounded and focused on the goals I wanted to achieve and as a faithful servant I was able to show people that despite the surroundings you can become whatever you want to through determination focus and consistency. I want them to say Generator Baby was a hell of a talent and businessman and an even better person as a whole and that’s “On Cynthia”.
