What’s your artist name and where are you from?

Terry Jones, I’m from Pittsburgh PA.

Why do you love music?

I’ve always loved music and felt a bit of a calling. Music is one of the ultimate forms of expression, one that can be enjoyed without translation. No matter the genre, it’s the ultimate art form. I remember being obsessed with songs by MJ and Prince. My parents always had Marvin playing, Al Green playing and so many dope artists. I would watch Kool Moe Dee and thought rapping was cool. Music has a way of touching lives and creating relatability even without lyrics.

What makes you different as a music artist?

I started in entertainment as a stand-up comic. I think because of how hard it is to be creative alone on stage. I have a fresh perspective and respect as an artist. Just like Childish Gambino and Jamie Foxx before me. Comedy has a form of music in its delivery, flow and presentation. So new flows and new delivery is always fun for how my music sounds. A lot of people have complimented my style. Many have been telling me I have a unique sound and I have what it takes to be a top artist. I also want more than Fame. I want to make classic music.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Well, brunch with Jay-Z. I want to be collaborating with my favorite artist. Kendrick, Drake, Cole, Lupe and The Weeknd. I want to be a top entertainer winning awards, and breaking records. I want to be on the path of creating generational wealth for my children. I want to have at least 3 Grammys and 3 Classic Albums. I want to have 3 world tours. I can see myself on very successful levels, ones that I dreamed of and more.

What do you want to accomplish in life?

I want to be a person who makes a difference with my art and wealth in the future. I want to be the best Father. I want to create a legacy that is remembered, I want to be a part of history and immortalized for greatness. My favorite artists were all bigger than their music, they were straight forward. They made positive changes to those around them. I want to create my own businesses from my art, and show other artists that we only lose when we stop.

What do you bring to the music world?

A Fresh sound and flow. It feels like everything is over-saturated with artists who all want the same thing. I want to create art that’s remembered, lyrics that are memorable. It’s a new voice, and sound. A lot of artists have to start off with bad projects. With all the connections and learning over the years from collabs with artists as a comedian. I learned what to and not to do. It’s helpful to have good producers and engineers backing you. I think because I want to bring original ideas, it’s helpful to my sound and what I have to offer.

What do you want to be remembered by?

I want to be remembered not just for my art. I want to be remembered for all the great things outside of it. I want to be Keanu Reeves style remembered. Life taught me we only remember the bad people, or the good people. I want to be the good person people remember. Someone that made a positive impact on the lives around me. Being genuine is lacking these days, I want to be remembered for my memorable moments.
