The story of the old man and the sea
The Old Man and the Sea Santiago is a poor old man - or so it seems. Hemingway (Hemingway) shaped this image in his own refined language, so to speak, Hemingway did not give the old man success, but gave him the image of grace and resilience under pressure. The old fisherman drifted for 84 days at sea with nothing to catch a huge and incomparable marlin (marlin), a fish that was 2 feet longer than his fishing boat, and was stabbed to death after dragging the boat for two full days and nights. Young, a symbol of strength and hope, even for an old man, his heart is also young. The lions are described several times in the text. On the Afrikaner beach, the lions are laughing and playing, and they appear in the old man's dreams, always in his heart, revealing the same will that the old man will never grow old. This novel by Ernest Hemingway won the Nobel Prize for Literature and the Pulitzer Prize. This hardened writer with hundreds of pieces of shrapnel left in his bones appropriately wrote about the intensity of life, telling us how to face life, old age, sickness and death, telling us how wide our hearts should be, like the sea.
