Bullet Journal-June Layout
Sometimes being creative is hard, is the bullet journal worth it

My bullet journal for June is in the theme of Bubble Tea. I was inspired by a creative Youtuber who posts her bullet journaling and I did use some of her theming on my own, and I also made some pages simply inspired by the theme. I am not new to bullet journaling but I never quite picked it up seriously either. I tested the waters for a bit and had decided it wasn’t for me, it felt silly. Then COVID happened and I lost all three of my jobs and went on unemployment. Fours months of being at home everyday all the time can really make a person question their sanity. So I started picking up old hobbies I had lost time for and picked journaling backup as well. I needed something to fill my time as well as a need for a creative outlet since my career is all about creativity. The first month I did was back in May and I will not be sharing any pictures from that because WOW. It sucked hardcore.
So while May dragged on, I knew I wanted the theme for June to be Bubble tea and I started investing in some supplies. About a year ago I had purchased a calligraphy book so now I’ve had the time to start working on lettering which is one of the key things to the bullet journal. At first I felt like I wasn’t getting the hang of it but now with the practice I’ve gotten from creating my June layout I think I could actually become great at it.
So I have a pinterest account, and I used it in conjunction with youtube to create my layout and it took me about two and half days to create. All the pages I will show you are pages needed to get through the daily. I will be adding on weekly pages soon, because I am beginning to start a writing work schedule that I want to include in the journal. It still has become a way to fill time basically while I look for work but in a way it keeps me accountable for all the things I want to track.
So the first two pages are my intro to June. It includes a quote page and the official start of June page. I would like you to keep in mind, I have not doodled since highschool and I am still learning and practicing the fine art of journaling, so it isn’t beautiful like those you see from truly talented people. I used Tombow dual markers in pastels, Crayola supertips, Prismacolor lettering kit, and white Gelly Roll pens. My journal is a black hardcover Exceed from Walmart which I think was about $8 and truly a great find. My washi tape for the month of June has not been delivered yet so my pictures will include my layout without the look of washi tape. But I purchased my washi from stationarypal.com which has just the cutest supplies at amazing prices.

Below you will see I had a but of a rough time making the calendar, the white gel pen had a hard time showing up against the crayola black for the date, so I'm wondering if I should have used a different black.

You will these colors throughout the layout, I wish I had a more sheer brown color for the tea, but I worked with what I had so the mood tracker is difficult to shade in. Same issue with the white gel pen on black here below.

I like to track how many hours I sleep because I have a little bit of insomnia and I always have a hard time getting to sleep. Water, as you can see I don't drink enough of so therefore I need to track it. I was better about water last month, thankfully this month just started.

I'm trying to get back into reading, I used to read all the time but work had me so busy that I just couldn't do it, so last month I tried to read four books and I had started strong but never finished. So this month I'm simply going to write in a book if I finish it, instead of tracking pages. The playlist I think is cute, these are my June songs for the month (all k-pop). I was going to print the actual song artwork which is why you see the gap but my printer isn't working.

So these pages are also tailored for my needs, I'm learning my mothers native language so I'm trying (last month I gave up) to hold myself accountable. Brain dump because sometimes you have to do just that, I filled two pages last month.

I have two more pages, but for the sake of privacy I did not include them because one is a weight loss page and one is a password page. I hope you enjoyed my sad attempt at the bullet journal for the month of June and hopefully I'll get better soon. So far I like this month's layout and maybe I'll keep doing it for the rest of the year.
