Some of the great philosophers of our time and even centuries before us have mentioned that the mind is powerful tool that can be used to achieve its deepest desires.

“If you can believe it, the mind can achieve it” - Ronnie Lott

The power of a positive attitude is a remarkable tool. When we let our minds see no other option except success, we are propelled forward in pursuit of our goals.

It is that powerful part of the body that is at times, your own worst enemy. The mind adsorbs so much content in a single day and then stores all the content to recall at a later date. The problem often encountered is, that negative thoughts and memories are stored the same as our positive thoughts and memories. Then your memories recall emotions like fear, judgement, anxiousness, abandonment, rejection, and you lose sight of possibilities. Whatever you are putting into your mind is what becomes your focus.

Sometimes, life can feel out-of-balance and some situations will be out of your control. It’s almost inevitable that there will good days and bad days, amazing moments and unbearable moments, but on this roller coaster of ups and downs please keep in mind that everything in life, is temporary. All things have their own season and reason and, learning to navigate through those times is a great skill you can use all throughout life. To encourage you, I suggest that you learn to accept your current situations for what they are and do not try to control what cannot be controlled, i.e. the weather or someone else’s attitude. Trust in yourself so much so that when things start heading downhill you are confident that they will be headed back up soon, too.

A positive attitude can boost your energy, increase your inner strength, and help you rise-up to meet difficult challenges. Because your attitude influences your behavior, you will respond with whatever thoughts you focus on in your mind. Both positive and negative thoughts are contagious, but positive thoughts have been proven to improve health, happiness, and success.

Believing in yourself is powerful.

A healthy and happy lifestyle includes consistent positive thoughts, mindfulness, self- love, and most of all faith. When you train your mind to only focus only positive thoughts and actions, you can change your navigational direction. Believing in yourself is not always an easy task, but it is possible and that my friend, is the motivation you need to begin your journey to a new and, happier destination.

To get yourself on this path you must begin by focusing on your strengths and developing your talents. Seek out mentors, coaches and people who will empower and help attain your goals by providing you with the right tools, education, and resources to achieve your deepest dreams and desires.

The most important part of believing in yourself comes from taking, action. Action equals results ad results are what get us to a destination. But I understand that times, finding motivation can be quite challenging. How can you feel empowered and excited about something if you lack motivation? Motivation and inspiration are the fuel that ignite the fire of our passions.

Writing down your aspirations and/or creating a roadmap to your goals will help you feel inspired and cultivate some motivation. Did you know there is an actual science behind motivation?

Forbes magazine released an article that discusses how neuroscientists have determined that the dopamine levels in your brain are now strongly linked to your motivation. With this information you can now take-action to naturally increase your dopamine levels. Listening to music, exercising, and eating foods rich in eat foods rich in Tyrosine will all boost your Dopamine levels naturally. Tyrosine is found in almonds, bananas, avocados, eggs, beans, fish, and chicken. I also believe that rest and meditation also significant rituals for increasing our mental capabilities.

Once you have gained the confidence and conquered your minds trickery, I bet you will feel more empowered, motivated, and determined.

“Believe you can and you’re halfway there” -Theodore Roosevelt
