A true short story: Money is not everything

Few years ago, the Tezgam Express broke down in the desert of Sindh on its way from Punjab to Karachi. There were children, old people, and women trapped in the train in the worst heat.

As time went on, water and other supplies ran out and the train became scorched by the scorching heat, causing children and women to burn.

Before a major tragedy struck and people began to die in the heat, the passengers saw a crowd of people coming from far, carrying water coolers and cooking pots.

They were residents of a nearby village. When they realized the train's condition, they refused to take any compensation or wage from the sobbing passengers for their belongings.

Villagers provide food, water, and everything the passengers need. The villagers take much care of the train passengers.

This is the area of Murree, 900 km away from Sindh, and the date is January 7, 2022. There were thousands of tourists stranded in heavy snow.

Fuel has run out in the vehicles, and food has also run out. Several people have become trapped inside their vehicles in the bitter cold. As evening approached, the cold became more intense.

Vehicle heating systems stopped functioning. Later in the morning, news broke that people trapped in the vehicles had begun to die. As of the last report, 30 people had died, mainly women and children.

People of Murree didn't do anything to help them. The people of Murree are the ones who sell an item worth 1 dollar to tourists for 10 dollars.

During a season, the rent of a hotel that is 3000 in their currency, takes up to 15000. Even for parking, they charge 1,000.

At last, many people died, but their true faces were revealed. It is the difference of traditions, the difference of attitudes, and the difference of civilizations.
