The first rule of success is to have a vision you see if you don't have a vision of where you go and if you don't have a goal where you go you drift around and you never end up anywhere it's like you can have the best ship in the world you can have the best airplane in the world.

if the pilot or the captain doesn't know where to goit would just drift around you will not end up anywhere almost like in the wrong place so I was very fortunate that I stumbled onto my vision.

I want to become a bodybuilding champion just like richPark I want to get into movies it's just like rich Park and I want to make millions of dollars and be rich and famous just like reg Park you know how great it felt that I knew where I was going imagine the majority of people.

The Second rule of success is to have to be the passion you have to have a lot of passion for what you're doing and it's totally true and the reason is that it's so hard that if you don't any rational person would.

give up it's really hard and you have to do it over a sustained period of time so if you don't love it if you're not having fun doing it you don't really love it you're gonna give up and that's what happens to most people. actually, if you really look at the ones that ended up you know being successful.

unquote in the eyes of society and the ones that didn't often times it's the ones that are successful loved what they did so they could persevere well you know when it got really tough and the ones that didn't love it quit because they're saying right who would want to put up with this stuff if you don't love it so it's a lot of hard work.

The Third rule of success is to have faith sometimes life gonna hit you in the head with a brick don't lose faith I'm convinced that the only thing that kept me going.

that I loved what I did I was lucky I found what I loved to do early in life Woz and I started Apple in my parent's garage when I was 20 we worked hard and in 10years Apple had grown from just the two of us in a garage into a two-billion-dollar company.

with over 4,000 employees we just released our finest creation macintosh a year earlier and I just turned 30 and then I got fired how can you get fired from a company you started well as Apple grew we hired someone.

who I thought was very talented to run the company with me and for the first year or so things went well but then our visions of the future began to diverge and eventually we had a falling out when we did our Board of Directors sided with him and so at 30 I was out and very publicly out what had been the focus of my entire adult life.

I was a very public failure and I even thought about running away from the valley but something slowly began to dawn on me I still loved what I did the turn of events at Apple had not changed. that one bit I've been rejected but I was still in love and soI decided to start over.

The Fourth rule of success is do what you love don't settle you've got to find what you love and that is this true for work as it is for your lovers your work is going to fill a large part of your life and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great to work.

the only way to do great work is to love what you do if you haven't found it yet keep looking and don't settle as with all matters of the heart you'll know when you find it and like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on so keep looking don't settle you.
