3 Things You Can Start Doing Today to Improve Your Life
"The grass is always green when you water it." ~ Unknown
Have you ever noticed that when we are unhappy we often spend time focusing on the things that make us unhappy?
My life has had its ups and downs, like everyone else's, but some of the lowest ones came back when I got a job graduating from a large accounting firm.
I was completely trapped in a ditch: dragging myself to bed in the morning, going to work, spending the whole day in an office full of people I didn't like, doing work and getting bored and unsatisfied, going out for a drink in the evening, usually with my favorite colleagues, getting a bus back home.
I was bored, unhealthy and unhappy.
I used all my energy to do things that I did not enjoy with people who were not of my own race, and then I drowned everything in a bottle of wine.
But it has always been that way, and I have worked my tools to turn life around in my head and use my time happily.
I now focus on making each day happier, and living a life full of joy, happiness, and self-sacrifice.
As Seth Godin said, "Instead of wondering when your next vacation is, you should probably set a life you don't need to run away from."
And that, my friends, is where I come in.
There are three small but significant changes that can be made to begin to improve their health. They may feel intimidated at first, but these three changes will begin to make your life different - and better - every day.
1. Make space.
"Busy" is a new word word. Most of us rush to complete our day full of incomplete tasks, and when someone asks how we are, we sigh, "We're busy…"
Look at your calendar and see how much time you spend doing things that don't test your world.
Do you always say "yes" to meet your husband's brother's wife even if you leave feeling tired and unhappy?
Do you say "yes" to meetings at work that you know ahead of time will waste time and make you stay longer to finish your real work?
Do you find yourself going out with friends at expensive restaurants where the cost means spending all night worrying about debt and not being happy?
All of these things are discussed! Start saying “no” to parties and to people who repair it. There is no need to make excuses or corrections, bow down politely.
The more you say "no" to things that don't fill you with happiness, the more time you have to get the jobs that are meant for happiness.
It can sound scary at first - you can end up having free time on your calendar, and most of us worry that people won't like us if we say "no." That's normal! But are you willing to deal with that fear of opening your life to enjoy it every day?
2. Do something scary.
Maybe making space in your system is already driving you out of your comfort zone. Good! But I bet there are a lot of things you would like to do to fill a space that makes you feel jussstttt a little nervous.
These things help to grow us, and doing things that start from the place of fear helps us to release our fears and expand our comfort zone. So scare yourself today, and you'll be a little scared tomorrow.
These shocking works do not have to be earth-shattering. My first list of scary activities included calling a girl I wanted to be friends with, answering my phone every time she rang (I was in the habit of checking almost all my calls, or chatting with people!), And joining a dance class.
You see, they are all simple, but each one of them has a positive effect on my health when I do.
As you begin to live near your growing edges and work hard at doing things outside of your comfort zone, the space will increase and you will gain renewed confidence in yourself and your skills.
3. Do what you love.
I like reading; I always have it. When I was a child, my father described it as dangerous.
I read all the time - when I went to bed, when I woke up on the weekends, in the afternoon after school. Anyway, one of my favorite pastimes is when I have time off on the weekends to wake up without the alarm and just read in bed until I’m really hungry and I have to get up and eat eggs.
But if I am busy, tired, and depressed, it is one of the first things to do. Great mistake! I find myself sitting on the sofa in front of the TV, getting more and more tired and tired. But I have seen the pattern, and I realize I am making time to read now. I love getting lost in a good novel.
What is your "thing"? What are some of your favorite activities? Read, chat on the phone with friends, go for a walk in nature? Make a list of a few things and make one of them every day.
Maybe pick small things on weekdays and something big on weekends so you don't have to worry about them, but focus on the things you love and make it a priority to use your time to do things that make you happy.

When we made room, we wrote down the things we liked to do, and we started to see the things we were holding back from doing because they were scary, it's time to do it!
Take your calendar and book it. Cut out what you will say "no" to, and write about the scary thing and the thing you like.
Make it happen, make a commitment to improve your health in a small way every day. Doing a little daily exercise will get you more than one energy every month.
It's your life. Choose to make it amazing
