12 websites where you can earn money writing

Okay, so you like to write, you're good at it, and you've heard that there are sites online where you can make money writing. But what are these sites? How do they work? How much do they pay? We offer you a selection of the best sites where you can earn money writing: Publisuites, Fiverr, SoyFreelance, Upwork, Freelancermap... Do you know them?

Yes, you can make money writing on the Internet.

If you've come to this blog, it's because you'd like to turn your passion for writing into a way of making money, and the good news is that it is possible; in fact, many people already do it.

In this article, I'm going to tell you about 12 websites where you can earn money writing. These are the most well-known and popular among both writers and businesses. They all work similarly, but the fees charged may vary, and therefore, so may your earnings.

Below, I've provided the most important information about each one, and you can access the page directly by clicking on the name or the button. If you know of any more worth adding, let us know in the comments or send us a message , and we'll review it!

Publisuites

publisuites-for-publishers

Publisuites is a site originally focused on selling sponsored posts: you just have to register your website or blog, decide the price and topics of the sponsored posts you accept, and clients interested in purchasing a sponsored post on your blog will send you a request on the platform.

Plus, you can now sell mentions on your social media and offer your writing services to companies that want to hire you. They pay every Monday via PayPal, and they don't retain any commission.

SoyFreelancer.com

SoyFreelancer.com is a freelance platform aimed at the Latin American market, offering a good alternative for finding freelance jobs after the controversial takeover of Nubelo by Freelancer.com.

Registration on SoyFreelancer.com is free for all users. When you sign up, you start with a Scout account, which allows you to create your online portfolio and upload a resume. You can view all projects posted by potential clients and bid on one project per day. Additionally, there are two paid account options, called Pro and Elite, which allow you to apply for multiple projects per day, in addition to improving your profile ranking and obtaining other benefits. You can also get a Pro account for free by inviting three friends to register on the platform.

Payment for services is made through an escrow system: the client deposits the money with SoyFreelancer.com, and the platform pays you when you've delivered the work and the client has accepted it. SoyFreelancer.com deducts a 14% commission from the total project budget, and payments are made via bank transfer.

Collaborator

Make money writing for Collaborator

Collaborator is known for offering the opportunity to subscribe to sponsored posts on thousands of quality sites in 140 countries. But did you know you can also earn money writing for Collaborator?

It's simple: after adding your website or blog to the platform's Marketplace, you can also offer writing services to clients who need them.

This way, advertisers who prefer to have their sponsored articles written by a professional editor can place their order directly, providing an additional source of income.

Sign up for Collaborator and start earning money with sponsored posts and writing articles!

Influenet

buy sponsored posts influenet

Influenet is a sponsored post platform where you can buy and sell sponsored articles on a wide network of Spanish-language sites around the world. If you have a blog with a certain amount of traffic and/or specialize in a certain niche, you can earn money by writing sponsored posts for advertisers interested in reaching your readers or building links.

Influenet has some distinctive features compared to other sponsored article sites: you can buy and sell posts from the same account, specify whether sponsored articles will be published permanently or not on your site, whether they will appear on the front page, agree on a pre-publication review… All you have to do is register your site for free, set the price for your sponsored articles, and start receiving proposals from interested advertisers. They pay within 7 days via bank transfer or PayPal, and you must have accumulated ten euros to withdraw the money.

Fiverr

You've probably already heard of this website, haven't you? Anyway, I'm going to tell you how you can make money writing for this North American freelance job site, where Spanish-language content freelancers are increasingly gaining ground.

You can post your service ad or gig starting at $5. The category you're interested in is "Writing and Translation."

For each successful sale of your service, you'll receive 80% of the price you set. In other words, Fiverr applies a 20% commission.

There's a leveling system where you'll progress through the ranks as you accumulate completed orders, customer ratings, and earnings.

You can withdraw your earnings via PayPal, Fiverr Money Card, bank transfer, or direct deposit (the latter only in the United States).

Freelancer.es

work as a freelance writer

Freelancer.com is currently the world's largest freelance platform, emerging from the merger of multiple platforms such as Nubelo and ProjectLinkr.

In its Spanish version, Freelancer.es allows you to create a free profile to qualify for offers posted on the platform. It's one of the freelance job sites with the most assignments, but also the most competitive. This reduces your chances of getting the job or forces you to underbid to win the lowest rate (which isn't always a good idea).

Membership of the platform is free, but if you don't have one of the paid plans, you're only eligible for a limited number of jobs each day, always behind premium members, who have priority when submitting their proposals.

It's also a controversial platform regarding its treatment of freelancers. Although it operates on an escrow system (the client deposits the money upfront and the platform releases the payment when they accept the delivered work), there are quite a few conflicts with clients who don't pay and in which the platform sides with the freelancers. It's a good place to be, but don't expect it to become your best source of clients as a freelancer.

UpWork

My opinion on Upwork

Born from the merger of Elance and Odesk, UpWork is considered one of the best freelance job sites currently available, although also one of the most demanding. Although the platform is North American, jobs are posted in Spanish, but proficiency in English is required to navigate the platform and speak with clients. In return, slightly higher rates are charged.

Registration on UpWork is free, and editors review each profile to validate it. If you don't have enough experience or skills, they may reject you. Basic membership is free, but there's a limited token system to access offers. Once you land a job, the platform takes a 20% commission on the final amount paid by the client.

Contents.com

Work as a writer, translator, or proofreader on the Contents platform

Founded in 2021, Contents.com is a digital content creation platform that combines human talent with artificial intelligence. To achieve this, it has an international team of collaborators who produce content in different languages for its major clients' projects.

You can work at Contents.com offering writing, translation, or proofreading services for content generated by its artificial intelligence system. There are no fees, but to join the team, you must upload your profile to the platform and pass a selection test. Prices and conditions vary depending on the job, and payments are made via PayPal, once a month, starting at €50.

Contents.com currently offers freelance work in Italian, Spanish, English, and French, but many other languages will soon be available. Check out the following review to learn our thoughts on Contents.com and the possibilities this thriving site offers.

Freelance Directory

work as a freelance directory writer

A platform for finding writing jobs where you can sign up for free and pay no commission on the clients you get?

With this objective, the Freelance Directory was born, currently the largest community of content professionals in Spanish, bringing together more than 4,000 members from around the world and visited daily by dozens of clients looking for writers, copywriters, translators, and other freelancers specializing in content marketing.

Registration is completely free; you can create your profile to offer services to clients at no cost. Clients interested in your services will contact you directly to discuss the price and terms of the assignment. You won't have to pay commissions for the work you secure, and payments are made directly to your bank account, PayPal, or the payment method you agree upon with each client.

There's also a paid option to highlight your profile and gain more visibility. If you sign up
