Over the past 20 years, I've had the opportunity to work with many professional and semi-professional athletes: from basketball to cycling, there are some really amazing athletes. However, many of them did not make it to the "league".

It's not because they're not strong enough or lack skills. It's also not because they're not smart enough or because they're slow to learn.

This is because they don't really want to work hard day today. They don't want to leave their comfort zone. Don't think that means they don't work hard, they will. But only on a small scale.

Many of the players I've worked with have the physical traits and characteristics needed to enter the league. But they're too lazy to talk nonsense, up to six months before the draft.

The same applies to weight loss.

And self-development as a person and as a business professional.

And as a business owner.

And as a professional.

As an entrepreneur.

And as a student.

I am no exception

You are different.

We don't want it to be bad enough to do mundane, consistent tasks every day to get us where we want to be. Get out of your comfort zone.

When you decide, from the Latin root of-each, which means "to cut," to eliminate each and every other option, you will succeed.

Most people feel too intimidated or too comfortable with their life or lifestyle, especially if it sucks, to do anything real about it.

"What if I try to attempt something and fail? Then everyone will see that I fail and I'm going to get worse."

Wrong.

We allow ourselves to fail and not succeed.

Read it again because this is the truest statement of success you've ever read.

What if you try and fail?

You'll try. Then he or she will try again, with more intelligence and experience, until he or she succeeds.

do you want to be successful? Do you really want to succeed?

You have to reach the tipping point where you're not afraid to step out of your comfort zone. Where do you embrace failure when it comes? Because failure is one of our best teachers. Wherever you see a "no," only one will lead you to a "yes."

The turning point is when you're sitting in a traffic jam and you start to get so angry about your life and how much better you could and should have to start crying. Not because you're sad or depressed, but because you realize you've wasted so much time that you could use all the skills and tools you have to improve yourself, your bank account, your family, your friends, your customers, and the world.

You get there when you get to the point where you can't stand the life you're living for a second longer, and you don't care what your path is.

Then you will be on your way to true success.

As Michael Jordan's personal trainer/trainer, Tim Grover, points out in his book "Relentless": Michael didn't just want to be the Player of the Year (MVP), he wanted to be the greatest player of all time. Find ways to become the only competitor the other teams don't expect to play against because you know they'll stick around for 48 minutes.

Most golfers just want to get into the league. They want labels.

Most people are like that. They don't want to strain to be able to do everything they can and buy a Mercedes Benz. They just want labels. They want to see how people feel when they go up to the S class. So they just work hard to rent.

What's stopping you?

yourself, your comfort zone and your social club.

If you want to improve and be truly successful, you have to start with yourself.

Because of others, you can't do it. That's not to say it can't be done, but it's more challenging. Doing it because other people want it won't give you the determination, courage, and desire to get up at 4:45 a.m. to begin with, so you can be an expert in your field reading and exercising for an hour a day, in front of everyone. more before the alarm goes off.

You have to give up so damn comfortable.

Did you know that most people reach a lower level of prosperity: they can pay their bills every month, go out to eat 2 or 3 times a week, and drop it all?

Why?

Because it's comfortable. They lose the ability to dream and think they can do better. They work hard enough, feel good about themselves, finish, go home and crouch in front of the TV or Youtube for a few hours, then leave it.

But not you. You have fire in your heart. You're ready to roll and aim to fly!

So where do you focus all this energy?

Let it hold you accountable and get started.

1. Write Down Your Goals

"Measured, Managed"

While this may seem like a trivial and perhaps stupid task, it's the first thing we need to do. It gives us direction and destination. Oh, don't aim small, aim high! That way, if you miss it, you'll still have some amazing achievements!

2. Set goals For 6 Months, 1 Year And 3 Years

These should be achievable and reasonable, but they will stretch you a bit.

3. Reverse Engineer Who You Need To Be And What You Need To Do To Get There

Monthly start: What do I need to accomplish each month to get there?

Then, starting at the monthly goal, break it down into weekly goals.

Finally from weekly goals, to daily goals.

Now that you know what you need to accomplish each day, it's a mundane routine that most people don't do or don't do consistently.

Do it now... Every day. There is no low season.

4. Make A Plan

People make blunders in this area the second most often. They're trying to get an A+ plan, which is absolutely the best plan possible. It took them a long time to figure it out, but when it came time to execute, the effort or focus would take them to a B or C execution level.

"stay and play" or "load and go"

Start with the one important thing you need as a foundation for developing your plan and move on from there. The details will be worked out as you learn more about the plan. Just discover the "big picture"!

5. When 80-90% Is Completed, Start Executing The Plan

Don't wait for the plan to be 100% ready. The 4 wheels are still outside the ambulance, although in some cases, such as when we put the patient in the ambulance, we cannot get away if the stretcher is only locked in the back door, although this will bring a "fun" experience to patients!

Don't let procrastination get past you and allow yourself to delay the completion of a plan until it begins. Start your plan when 80% should be in place. That way, you have started the plan and can continue to perfect it and move forward as you go, just don't be reckless!

6. Execute The Plan Today With 100% Effort And Focus

You don't need an A+ plan. In fact, you can have a B-plan, but an A+ execution, and these results will far outweigh the best plan and poor execution. In business consulting, I have seen amazing results with a "B+ plan", but with an A+ execution and flexibility.

During the time I trained endurance athletes, the cyclists who did better and farther were the best at executing the plan more than 95% of the time and did an excellent job of communicating the execution of the plan, so as we develop it, we can make changes and adjustments.

So whether you're fighting for a national championship, trying to add $10 million in profits, or targeting a Class C kit, make sure you run it at 100%. But don't forget...

7. Make Changes To Make The Plan Work!

A military proverb says, "No matter how good a plan is, once the first shot is fired, it will fail." Survival, in business, life, especially in nature, is the same.

In her book Deep Survival, Laurence Gonzalez talks about how hikers get lost in taking the wrong paths and trying to align their mind maps with their surroundings. the time to figure out where they really are, and they could easily find their way back along the way.

Don't let the plan, your plan loses you. Know your destination, but make adjustments and changes to the plan on the fly. Make sure you have a solid team by your side to keep you on track.

8. Build A Social And Commercial Network Around You

"Things come together."

If you want to know how much you're worth (financially) or how well you'll do, look at the 5 people you spend the most time with. We share our dreams, visions, and goals with those around us, and if they support us, we often get going and achieve them. Achieving goals requires a like-minded mindset.

Look for great people: better, smarter, smarter than you, and learn from them. Spend time with them. Call them your "think tank" if you want. For those who spend time with us, it has a huge impact on who we are.

9. Fail On The Road To Success, Learn From It And Accept It!

In cycling competitions, there is only 1 winner.

There are usually more than 100 runners per race. This means that most brokers lose much more often than they gain.

Business and life are very similar.

When we win, we throw a party. When we fail, we think.

Failure can teach us many lessons and discover how we can improve. Accept this fact and see every failure, setback, obstacle, and failure as another giant step toward success. Just be sure to learn from them and seek to learn from others who have done what you are doing.

A great way to learn from these other pioneers is our tenth step...

10. Read A Book

In 2015, the Pew Research Center found that the average American read just 12 books the year before. Women read more than 50 per cent more than men, and those with household incomes above $75,000 read more than twice as much as those with household incomes below $30,000.

If you want to be more successful, you need to invest in yourself, and the easiest way to get the maximum ROI (return on investment) is to read books.

Think of a book this way: sit down one-on-one with the author and ask him to share with you what he has learned about the subject.
