Love With Genie

Love

By Shari KhanPublished 3 years ago 3 min read

Once upon a time, in a far-off desert, there lived a young man named Ibrahim. Ibrahim was a kind-hearted soul who lived a simple life, spending his days tending to his small garden and helping his fellow villagers whenever he could. Despite his humble life, Ibrahim had always dreamed of finding true love.

One day, while he was out collecting water from the nearby well, Ibrahim stumbled upon a small, tarnished lamp buried in the sand. Curiosity getting the better of him, he picked it up and rubbed it clean, only to find a genie suddenly appear before him.

The genie, who was rather short and stout, introduced himself as Qasim and thanked Ibrahim for freeing him from his lamp. As a token of his gratitude, Qasim offered to grant Ibrahim three wishes.

Overwhelmed by the sudden turn of events, Ibrahim couldn't believe his luck. He had heard stories of genies before but had never believed them to be true. After much thought, he decided to use his first wish to wish for wealth and prosperity. Qasim snapped his fingers, and just like that Ibrahim's small garden was transformed into a magnificent oasis, complete with flowing water and exotic fruit trees.

With his newfound riches, Ibrahim soon became the talk of the town. Everyone marveled at his good fortune and success. However, despite all of his wealth and material possessions, Ibrahim still longed for something more - true love.

Determined to find his soulmate, Ibrahim turned to Qasim once again and made his second wish. He wished for a beautiful, loving partner who would share his life with him forever. Qasim nodded his head and vanished, promising to grant Ibrahim's wish.

Days passed, and Ibrahim began to feel increasingly lonely. He began to doubt if Qasim would ever fulfill his second wish. Just as he was about to give up hope, a beautiful woman suddenly appeared before him. She introduced herself as Zara and explained that Qasim had sent her to be Ibrahim's wife.

Overjoyed, Ibrahim fell deeply in love with Zara. She was everything he had ever hoped for - kind, compassionate, and beautiful. They spent their days together in the oasis, enjoying each other's company and reveling in their newfound love.

However, as time went on, Ibrahim began to notice that Zara was not all that she seemed. She would often disappear for hours at a time, claiming she had to attend to important matters. Ibrahim began to suspect that there was something she was not telling him.

One day, while he was out exploring the desert, Ibrahim stumbled upon Qasim once again. This time, he demanded answers. He asked Qasim if he knew anything about Zara's strange behavior.

Qasim sighed and explained that Zara was not actually human. She was a creation of his, a genie like himself, who had been sent to fulfill Ibrahim's wish for love. However, as a genie, she was not capable of true love, and her actions were simply a result of her own confusion and longing.

Heartbroken, Ibrahim realized that his wish for true love had been a mistake. He realized that love could not be forced or created by magic. It had to be earned and nurtured over time. With a heavy heart, he asked Qasim to reverse his wish and to release Zara from her obligation to him.

Qasim nodded, and with a snap of his fingers, Zara disappeared, returning to her own realm. Ibrahim was left alone once again, but he was content. He realized that true love could not be found in a lamp or in a wish. It had to be earned through hard work, patience, and understanding.

From that day on, Ibrahim continued to tend to his oasis, living a simple life and helping his fellow villagers whenever he could. He had given up
