A balanced diet is essential for almost all age-groups. It helps the body to provide the best essential nutrients that are a must for the body to work properly. Basic nutrients can be obtained with help of fresh vegetables, fruits, lean proteins, legumes and nuts. If your body isn’t taking and digesting the right amount of nutrients then it will suffer from disease and fatigue. Your body without exact and healthy nutrients will end up getting fatigued. Children who do not take the right quantity of healthy stuff ends up promoting poor academic performance and on and off infections.

Folks who do not eat healthy food often develop obesity when they reach adulthood. And without exercise obesity leads to certain other chronic diseases like heart attack.

What to eat for a balanced diet?

To eat a balanced diet it is important to have appropriate amount of minerals, nutrients with healthy food that involves carbohydrates, fats and protein. Having the right amount of proteins in the form of eggs and poultry is very important for keeping up. There are people who are vegan-based. This means they take only veggies and fruits and avoid chicken or meat. But the leafy green vegetables they take help them to keep the body fully equipped with healthy nutrients.

Foods to avoid

There is a great variety of food products that are not good for the body. This involves junk food or highly processed food. Also it is best to avoid alcohol or food that is high in fats.

Fruit and vegetables

Fruits are a healthy food for everyone who are or have a sweet craving. Fruits are rich in fiber and have a juicy plus sweet texture. It is always best to take food in form of a dessert or as a snack. Fruits that are seasonal are an ideal source of fulfilling all the nutritional requirements of the body system. You can take fruit as a perfect snack or you can give these to your kids for lunch. The amount of sugar present in fruits is highly beneficial and less risky as compare to the sugar we take from processed meals.

Vegetables

There is no point in missing out vegetables because these are healthy and highly beneficial for your body. They have the correct amount of minerals, vitamins and of course antioxidants. In case you want a perfect source of nutrient it is best to eat dark green and leafy vegetables like spinach, kale and green beans. You can either boil these veggies or you can make a curry out of the vegetables. Vegetables are a perfect source for having in salad or you can eat these with a chapatti or a bowl of rice.

Grains

Grains are found in almost all types of bakery products including bread. But they provide limited amount of nutrients because the basic part of the grain is removed of during the processing procedure. Thereby limited amount of grain is optimal for a healthy diet.

Proteins

Proteins are very important to start your daily routine. You can take protein in whatever type or form that suits you. You can eat boiled eggs or fried eggs in morning as these are a rich source of protein. Animal-based protein is highly appreciated by folks. You can have animal-based protein in form of meat, chicken or beef. You can yet again boil the meat, add it with vegetables in salad form or you can create a curry out of it. If not animal-based plant related protein is available in form of nuts, seeds or pulses.

Dairy products

Dairy products are rich in calcium, vitamin and of course protein. Dairy products are rich in fat as well but not in very exceeding amount.
