Understanding Our Emotions for Greater Wellbeing
All our emotions collectively form our feelings. If we can control our feelings, we can certainly take care of our body, mind and soul in a better way.

Why Do we Need to Get Ourselves Familiar with Our Emotions?

It is of immense importance to get ourselves familiar with our emotions. As emotions create a motion, force or urge among us to choose a response, our well being is mostly dependent on it. Knowing all emotions properly helps us to manage and control those in a better way, which is in the center of managing relationship with others.
When we get familiar with our own emotions, we can also be able to recognize others’ emotions more accurately, resulting in choosing appropriate actions in response to those.
Moreover, if someone knows how a certain type of actions, activities or objects is going to trigger which emotion, one can choose careful response against those more intelligently. The more knowledge we have about our emotions, the more control we can exercise on those and the more resilient humans we become.
The secrect secret to living long is well controlled emotions. Our emotions are responsible for the multiple hormonal secretions in our body. The neurotransmitters in our brain controls the hormonal secretion. If someone does not possess a balanced emotional state, it may cause survival emotions, resulting in the release of cortisol into our brain. Too much cortisol for long time is certainly responsible for causing many types of fatal diseases such as brain stroke or heart attacks. So, if you want to live long, you must learn to master your emotions.
Furthermore, If someone is good at understanding one's emotions, it helps them to reach their targets or goals without any interruption.
The Types of Emotions We Have

We have generally eight types of emotions. These are fear, anger, disgust, shame and sadness, trust, excitement and surprise. Among these fear, anger, disgust, shame and sadness are called survival emotions.
Trust/love and excitement/joy are called attachment emotions. Surprise is called potentiator because it is responsible for flipping a response state from survival to attachment and from attachment to survival state.
Survival emotions are associated with releasing cortisol hormone in our body, which is responsible for all types of avoidance, escape and survival activities. On the other hand, attachment emotions secrete oxytocin, dopamine and noradrenalin which are responsible for creating good feelings in us. Let's now try to learn more about major emotions anger, anxiety and trust.
The Most Seductive and Destructive Emotions: Anger

Anyone can become angry- that is easy. But to be angry with the right person, to the right degree, at the right time, for the right purpose, and in the right way- that is not easy.---Aristotole
Anger is the most seductive of all emotions which one can hardly control. We can become angry very easily, ignoring all other considerable things. There are multiple reasons for anger being a seductive emotion. Firstly, it is energizing and exhilarating. Its persuasive power may make it difficult to control. Anger is very contagious and it spreads very quickly among others. Anger causes flight or fight response where there is little chance of compromise, empathetic listening and finding a solution to a problem.
Too Much Worrying : Causes of Fear, Disgust, shame and Sadness

Our thinking brain is always active and making decisions about each and everything. But all decisions do not become successful. There are the wrong ones which make us rethink and search for the solutions more intensely. When we fail multiple times, we get obstructed, our confidence hurts and we start to become suspicious about our capabilities. We start to underestimate ourselves and feel shame.
In another words, worry is a kind of visualization of the situations which might go wrong and if that goes wrong, what to do next. It is very common that things might go wrong for multiple reasons. For example, wrong way of seeing, right decision at wrong time, choosing wrong persons, deploying disproportionate amount of resources are the most prominent ones. Rather than letting worry telling upon on health and mind, more cautious investigations are necessary to find out the faults and solve those with the rational brain which stop working when we suppress us more.
we start to put more attention on something when fear mixes with our worry. But it is for sure that too much fear may stop your rational brain to think properly and turns it into a fight or flight response.
Trust : The Most Powerful Emotions of All

We have learnt about the survival emotions. Those are fear, anger, disgust, shame and sadness. We generally move on to survival/ avoidance or escape state when we have lack of trust or there is no presence of attachment emotions. the attachment emotions are satisfaction/ joy and trust/ love.
Human being by born is interdependent on each other for satisfying own needs. That intricate machanism mechanism is inbuilt in our brain. For that neural activities, we search for fellows, friends and others to survive. We , only the humans, have been endowed with attachment emotions to connect with others. The main element is the trust. It is no doubt that trust is the building block of government, law and of professions.
The first step of building any type of relationship is building trust. Trust building activity can be compared to a deposit account with a bank. The more you deposit, the greater the amount with the course of time. Similarly, the more you invest in building trust, the more it will widen and the stronger the relationship will become.
For example, think of an a business organization, where there are many departments and hierarchies. There are authorized persons everywhere. In the modern efficient organizations, all the employees take part creatively in the decision making process because everyone is emotionally attached to the organization. The leaders on the top are not only sorely responsible for running the whole organization. They need to trust their bottom up employees. Collectively, That trust works as the life blood of an efficient, inspiring, motivated and strong family, organization, institution or a community.
We all have the sense of fairness. In a trust based system, everything is fair. Thus, the relationship builds and a group works whether it is a family, an institution, a community or a big organization. If there is no trust, fear will take that place. People have to be forced to move. The less the trust, the more the fear. In that situation, human responsibilities and rights never get robust.
Oxytocin, a critical hormone in our body, is associated with building trust or emotional attachments. This hormone also ensures human welfare at a greater scale. It helps us to remain healthy, long living and disease free.
Your Feeling is the Collective Product of All Your Emotions
