Like most other types of diets, being vegan does have its disadvantages. For example, if you’re at an event and don’t know what is in your meal, it might be hard to tell if it is vegan or not (veganism isn’t widely practiced). Another disadvantage is being open to criticism from non-vegans that may question why you want to avoid animal products. You might also struggle with social situations where there are no non-vegan options.
