Stress Talk: How I’m Staying Calm and Focusing on Wellness
Prioritizing health, wellness, and skincare with Dune has kept me grounded and helped me stress less.

So far, my methods have proven successful and I couldn’t be more satisfied with how much better I’m feeling and, in turn, looking! Managing stress isn’t an easy job and nobody should have to go through it alone. Below, I’ll go over what I’ve been doing to manage my mental health and share tips on how you can overcome the overwhelming weight of looming worrying thoughts.

Remedy 1: Getting 8 hours of sleep
The first thing people tell you when you’re ill and not feeling well is to rest. This goes for your mind, too! Mental health is health, so it’s no surprise that getting eight hours of uninterrupted sleep is a step in the right direction towards easing anxiety and mental unrest.
In my experience, sleep deprivation can worsen my anxiety, resulting in a negative cycle involving insomnia. A lack of sleep at night can make you cranky the next day and, over time, skimping on sleep can mess up more than just your morning mood resulting in worsened mental health.
I usually make it a point to give myself a bedtime and a wake up call in order to get the perfect amount of sleep my mind needs. It’s important to note that going beyond nine hours is actually associated with depression and anxiety! Make sure you work on finding the eight hour sweet spot. Being home has significantly helped me focus on my sleeping schedule. I always make sure I get my eight hours in. This method of easing my anxiety is so easy, I can do it in my sleep! Pun intended.
Remedy 2: Exploring new wellness options
I used to think wellness was just a fancy word for exercise, but as it turns out, there’s so much more to wellness than I ever thought possible. I’ve done my fair share of research and have expanded my thoughts to finding the right tools to help me feel better. That’s when I found Dune.

Recently, I’ve been focusing on my diet, and I can already see the positive effects it's having on my mind and body. My anxiety has reduced because of the organic, natural foods I’m making the active effort in putting in my body.
Any health expert will tell you eating good, whole food is crucial in order to live a calm, healthy lifestyle. I can say with confidence that I feel better physically and mentally when I know a lot of what I eat comes from nature and not from a lab.
I try my best to eat healthy, balanced meals because I know that, at the end of the day, I’ll benefit both physically and mentally from positive changes to what I eat. It’s so important to stay on track even when you don’t feel the benefits right away. You’ll get there! Good things take time.

Looking good on the outside is all about feeling good on the inside.
