There are many stages of good sleep, but have you ever wondered what your body does when you are in sleep, so let us tell you today what are the activities in your brain during sleep?

Good food and lifestyle are essential to stay healthy. Equally important is your sleep because lack of sleep has a bad effect on your mental health, due to which gradually your physical health also starts deteriorating. The effect of lack of sleep is so useless that many parts of your body are unable to work properly due to it. Therefore a good sleep is very important. There are several stages of good sleep. But have you ever wondered what your body does when you are sleeping? So let us tell you today what happens in your brain during sleep.

A good sleep means deep sleep

Sleeping in deep sleep is very beneficial for the body. When you are in deep sleep, your body repairs your muscles. At the same time, the bones also get rest and their healthy development takes place. Along with this, when you sleep better, your hormones are well managed. People who take good sleep, their memory becomes very good. Such people are able to sort their memories and appear active in the morning.

5 STAGES OF SLEEP

There are 5 stages of sleep, including both REM and non-REM sleep, which we cycle through each night. All these activities are happening in your mind but you are in sleep so you do not know anything.

Stage 1: The initial stage of sleep

This stage of sleep is non-REM. This phase occurs when you start sleeping and usually lasts only a few minutes. This is a preliminary process. During this phase:

Breathing and heartbeat slows down.

-Muscles start to relax.

You produce alpha and theta brain waves.

Phase 2 : 25 Minute Steps After the Beginning

This is the next stage of non-REM sleep. This is a period of light sleep. It lasts for about 25 minutes before entering deep sleep.

-The heart rate decreases further.

-There is no eye movement.

Body temperature decreases.

The brain waves propagate up and down, forming a "sleep spindle".

Stages 3 and 4: Beginning of deep sleep

Both of these stages of non-REM sleep are the stages of deepest sleep. These phases are also known as slow sleep, or delta sleep. Your body performs several important health promotion functions in these final non-REM stages. During these steps-

Sleep causes excitement.

Heartbeat and breathing move at the lowest speed.

Eye movement becomes quiet.

The body completely relaxes.

Delta brain waves become present.

Muscle repair, growth and cell regeneration takes place.

The immune system is strengthened.

More about excitement.

Stage 5: REM sleep means dreaming stage

In this phase when you fall asleep the phase of rapid eye movement lasts for about 90 minutes, and the primary dreaming phase of sleep begins. REM sleep lasts about 10 minutes at first, increasing with each REM cycle. The final cycle of REM sleep lasts approximately 60 minutes. During this phase-

- The movement of the eyes becomes faster.

-Increases breathing and heart rate.

The limb muscles become temporarily relaxed.

-The activity of the brain increases markedly.

-Dream and start collecting your memories.
