Quarantine

I will start focusing on exercising more...I will really dedicate time to duolingo....I will read more...I will start reaching out to old friends.....I will teach myself a new skill....I am going to start my Youtube Channel. All of these statements could be heard around the world at the start of quarantine. I was definitely one of those people. I had high hopes of exercising more, reading more, eating better, watching Netflix less and creating new projects. Well here I am day 60 of quarantine...maybe less. (SN: I live in one of the states that were the last to receive stay at home orders.) Out of all the items I had on my quarantine list only one out of the five I can say I have truly dedicated myself on improving. So I am definitely patting myself on the back but this story isn't to share my weak 1/5 success story. lol. This story is to share the idea that it is okay to feel hopeless during these times, it is okay not to be motivated, it is okay that Netflix and Hulu have received a lot more of your attention. We are living in a new normal (SN: Maybe if the tv show new normal was released during quarantine it would have been more of a success. The world will never know lol) that is definitely taking some time to adjust to and the mystery of when will things get back to normal are definitely the thought luring in everyone's mind. During these times I am not challenging you to reinvent yourself into the person that you have always wanted to be I am challenging you stay hopeful, stay positive and be grateful of the blessings that you have (family, job, quarantine bae, pets, coworkers, etc.) it may be hard to believe right now but we will get through this and we will come out stronger than ever! Until then, take pride in the little accomplishments that you may have managed during your quarantine time. If you managed to go on one walk during quarantine give yourself a pat on the back because something is better than nothing. I am here for the small success stories.

At this time many states are beginning to start the process of reopening. Stay safe and be smart during the reopening phase. The reopening does not symbolize back to normal for all. There are some people who will not go back to their jobs. Those people will still remain in the same new normal. Be considerate of those situations and support your favorite local restaurant as we transition from quarantine. This will forever be a time period that showed us a lot about who we are as a nation and what we are capable off when it comes to humanity. I personally would like to stay thank you to the front line workers. Your service does not go unnoticed.

Lessons learned during quarantine:

1. Wearing a face masks has definitely brought me to the conclusion that I have beautiful eyes.

2. I always complained about the human interaction that I was exposed to working two jobs. My introverted self was not a fan but now I miss talk to weirdos at my part time job and hearing stories about their life that I didn’t ask for.

3. My strongest friendships were highlighted during this because these were the friends checking in to see how I was.

**Views from my studio apartment (My quarantine paradise). Pictured here, the book I said I would read, the couch and blanket that are definitely probably tired of me, the candle that calms my mind every day after work, the lotion I never used because who do I need to be moisturized for and the laptop that I watch youtube on.

SN: I apologize if you were distracted by my SNs I have a lot going on in this mind. Also keep in mind that I am not a writer nor am I rapper (SN: Supa Hot Fire reference lol).

Sending positive energy to your life.
