perception to reality

my view on societal standards

By hunter ruchellePublished 3 years ago 1 min read

Sometimes I ponder to think, judgements can pass on to ourselves; for race, identity, weight and etc. Society gives us very low leeway to be our true selves. I believe we’re so enmeshed into our own opinions of others. We totally forget about the true facts.

The battles we go through every day with society and it’s standards is cruel. As woman , we tend to have to conform to the standard of being one size fits all. That is entirely impossible. To the importance of what you look like vs how you should look is on a different scale. You’re more than just a number.

I tend to improvise my own belief on my perception. But that’s on my own case. As generations change we tend to grow to more bigger topics. Our world is ever changing.

Making a change in todays society is key. Spreading awareness of such a big topic is so needed. I believe in you. You make your own level of beauty.

You are worth more than just a “standard”. Create your reality based off your vision. Love who you are.

As Confucius says “ Everything had beauty, but not everyone sees it “

Love yourself. Don’t change for anyone
