Mirror Dragon Tarot Week #8 2020
Reading for 2-17 thru 2-23-20

This week we have an interesting anomaly. Two of the same cards from last week have come up and they’ve come up in the same spots they were in for that reading. The Knight of Pentacles at the center and the High Priestess in the east.
Each week when I sit down to do this reading which I publish in a number of different venues, I shuffle and spread the cards in a fan, face down. Then I settle into a mild meditative state and ask for guidance in choosing cards for the week which are in the highest and best interest of all who are touched by them. Once I feel grounded in that quiet, inner space I reach out with my eyes closed and choose three cards based on what feels like the best three options of the seventy eight card fan. In doing so I also ask, still with face down cards, which position each card should be placed and I proceed with those three. (Even if I really don’t want to.) So, when I get two repeaters in the same positions it tells me that the message is a significant one.
The Center card again this week is the Knight of Pentacles.
This week we continue to feel inspired by the dynamic and creative energy of the fiery Wands. Our passions are strong, our creative plans and ideas are clear, and the desire to achieve successful outcomes can feel quite intense. There's a drive behind us that keeps us moving forward with full intent and a willingness to step outside the lines of known and/or accepted reality looking for different, more effective avenues by which we can mold our ideas and desires into realities. This doesn’t necessarily mean that we’re bucking the system just to break apart the strictures of former patterns and old methods, though that is a real possibility, it means more that we’ve discovered new ways to do things that spark different thought processes to face the same issues. It seems we're ready now to start in new directions to put our intentions and plans into motion.
The West card is the 4 of Swords.
I like to see this card here as the fours signify times of “truce” when we take the opportunity to stop, look, think and measure progress gained. We have the confidence and serenity to take stock of just where we are in a given situation and choose the best way to proceed. The good news is that this is the four of Swords. The Swords being tied to our clarity of thought and ability to effectively communicate tells me that with last week’s fiery, Knight of Wands energy we’ve been able to burn through some of the layers of conditioning that may have kept us in the stagnant drag of status quo. In doing so it’s likely that we’ve ruffled some feathers or, perhaps, sparked interest where there was none before. The better news is that we have the ability now to communicate clearly, in a way that people “get it". Having this clarity going for us allows us to feel validated and able to get our point across without feeling vulnerable to manipulation or dissension. The tough part is that sometimes the clearer and more determined we become, the more resistance we encounter though this week we’re decidedly able to handle it with honest, straightforward discussion.
The East card is again the High Priestess.
Our connection to Astral, Universal Truth still surrounds us with the understanding that each and every one of us is aligned in a much broader spectrum than our day to day interactions, challenges and triumphs. We’re more likely now to hold in mind the wider ranging connections we have as part of the human community and this bigger-picture thinking shows us our daily challenges for what they are; small, puny, not worth the stress they cause. In this light we can see that worrying about how we look or who we know or what job or car we have seems silly. In the recognition of our Universal connection we’re all One and we are all integral parts of the Universe. With that perspective, the strength and certainty we have now about our creative potential becomes, not only clear, but reasonable, feasible and imminently attainable.
In conclusion;
This will likely be a week of reevaluating where we stand. We can view who we are, what we want, where we’re headed and how to get there with a clear and not-too-emotional mind. The clarity and depth of purpose we find in our plans and ideas gives us the chance to take a step back from the fray and look at what’s right in front of us. With the reasonable and intellectual energy of the 4 of Swords we’re able to see the forest as well as the trees and how each of us fits into that larger framework. And finally, with the fiery and passionate energy of the Knight of Wands still intact and accessible we have the courage to stand up for our desires and convictions.
Have a clear and balanced week.
Light, Tory
TIP of the week: If it doesn’t open, it’s not your door.
