How To Lose 30 Pounds In 3 Months

A Guide For Busy People

By Abderrezak. MPublished 4 years ago Updated 4 years ago 3 min read

I am sure that the idea of losing 30 pounds in just 3 months is extremely appealing to you. But it should come as no surprise that trying to shed a massive amount of weight in such a short time period isn't going to be easy or even possible for many people. If you're looking for long-term results, it's important not to fall into the trap of believing that crash dieting or fad diets are the solution.

1. Make your goals public!

In his recent book, The Personal MBA , Josh Kaufman showed how making your goals public can help you achieve more. When we make our goals public, we become accountable to others. This accountability can keep us on track when our motivation wanes. Having others believe in us and cheer us on also gives us a surge of confidence that makes it easier to stay on track with our goals.

2. How to lose 30 pounds in 3 months

Planning to lose 30 pounds in 3 months doesn’t mean you have to go on a crash diet. Nor does it mean you have to exercise for hours every day. In fact, there are only two things you need to do to achieve this goal:

a. Do more work in less time

b. Eat smart (lots of fruits and vegetables)

3. Eat right and exercise daily (the why)

Eating healthy, exercising and staying fit is a habit that takes time to develop, but is well worth it. It’s so easy to get out of the habit of eating right and working out when you’re busy, but what many don’t realize is that this could be killing them from the inside out.

People who don’t have these habits are more likely to suffer from chronic diseases like diabetes and heart disease. Having healthy habits can also help you live longer, because a healthy body stays active for longer!

4. Exercise, Exercise, Exercise!

The importance of exercise for maintaining a healthy lifestyle is paramount. The health benefits of regular exercise include stronger bones, increased muscle tone, better sleep, and even improved memory. Nutrition is also an important aspect of overall health that should not be neglected. There are many different approaches to eating right, and deciding which method best suits you can be an intimidating task.

When it comes to exercise, there is no shortage of options. Whether you prefer a group setting or working out alone, the most important thing is that you’re doing something that works for you. The key is to find an activity that you truly enjoy.

5. The "how" of exercise

In a study by the University of California Berkley, it was discovered that 42% of Americans don’t get enough exercise, which is defined as 30 minutes or more on a daily basis. It takes the average person about 66 days to form a habit. Which means that for 66 days, you have to do something every day in order to create a routine.

But after 66 days, you have a new routine and it’s easier to stick with it. That’s why I recommend starting with small goals like exercising for 10 minutes each day.

6. Couch to 5k: the running plan

Couch to 5k is a running program that starts with three runs a week, and gradually increases the amount early in the program. It’s designed so anyone can run a 5K after nine weeks of training, regardless of their current ability.

There are several programs like this online, but we’re going to focus on Couch to 5k because it has been around the longest and has consistently high ratings. The program doesn’t require any equipment, and it only takes about 45 minutes three times a week. Most people finish the first nine weeks with a solid base level of fitness.

7. Eating right is easier than you think!

Eating healthy can sometimes feel like a chore. That’s because most of the time we don’t really know what to eat, how to prepare things, or how to even get started in the first place.

Conclusion

There are several ways to lose 30 pounds in 3 months, but they are not all healthy or maintainable. To achieve your goals effectively and without harming your body, try eating a balanced diet of fruits and vegetables that consists of lean proteins and whole grains. Also, be sure to exercise regularly and get plenty of sleep each night!
