A numerology chart calculator can be quite complex, but understanding the steps you must take to obtain the numbers and the meaning of the numbers themselves is essential to fully appreciate this form of divination. Learn how to build a chart and use it effectively.

First, the facts about numerology charts

Before starting with a numerology chart, you should have a paper and pencil handy; You will need it to do all that math! Here are some quick facts worth knowing about numerology before you start:

Use the full name on your birth certificate and the name you currently use (your current signature).

Use the table in the Numerology of Names article to determine the correct numbers that correspond to the letters in your name.

Go slow. The last thing you want to do is make a careless mistake in numerology. This is because once you are too far down the table, it can be difficult to figure out exactly where you went wrong first, and then you will have to start over. With that said, it's time to start!

Building the numerology chart

Some of the phrases below you may have seen before. It's okay. Think of it as a refresher course, and don't worry, it will get complicated soon!

Step One: The first step is to calculate the desire of the heart. This is done by adding the vowels of the name. First add the vowels of each name separately and reduce. "Reduce" means adding the individual digits of your first answer. Next, add all the names together. The final step is to reduce once more. Follow this procedure to calculate your heart's desire according to the current signature.

Step Two: Now is the time to assign each consonant its number. Follow the same mathematical procedure as above. Add the consonants of each name separately, reduce them, then add them all together and reduce them again. You now have the personality number.

Step three: It is time to calculate the destination number. Do this by adding all the numbers in each name and reducing. After this, add the three names (or as many as you are using). Reduce if necessary, but do not reduce a master number (11, 22, 33 and 44). Also, remember to continue to treat the name on the birth certificate and the current signature as separate entities.

Always know that the key themes in your Life Path number indicate exactly where you will experience challenges and difficulties throughout your life as you learn to recognize and master your life purpose.

First you need to know your life path number. See how to calculate yours with the following example.

Calculate your Life Path number:

EXAMPLE:

August 14, 1963

AUGUST is the eighth month: = 8

The day of birth is 14: 1 +4 = 5

The year of birth is 1963. Add the four numbers: 1 + 9 + 6 + 3 = 19; Keep adding until you get a one-digit number:

1 + 9 = 10 and 1 + 0 = 1

Now we add the resulting individual digits.

Month = 8 days = 5 years = 1

8 + 5 + 1 = 14 (14 is a karmic number - see this post for more information on the karmic number 14/5)

In Numerology, you always keep adding until you reach a one-digit number.

1 + 4 = 5

The life path number is 5
