How I lost my belly without a single abdominal workout?
A testimonial about nutrition reeducation.
From my childhood until my early 20ies, my mom always said that I was the thinnest one. Probably due to the fact that I was an avid long length chewer. We used to have big family lunch meals every day and this was an event for me as a kid. Growing up, since I got some pocket money, I started to go into junk food, but even this, was not enough to get me pounds. Mainly because I was also a great walker.
Around 23 I finally started to gain some weight because I was living by myself and sometimes, I didn’t have someone to talk with during the meals, what made me eat way faster than before.
But this was quickly remedied by an extreme season of sports like soccer, swimming, trampoline, and a vegetarian diet.
138.9 pounds or 63 kilos used to be my regular weight until the day I started to work and eat on the great restaurants of the sedentary cinema industry.
Living in Paris where cheese, wine, and pastry are to your divine delight.
My stable relationship helped me to finally look fluffy. My last diet being the one I imposed myself while I was on the race to my wedding, so at least I could look beautiful on the expensive pictures.
From there and during 20 years I’ve been fighting against my 46 extra pounds but never enough to get me back to my then regular slim fit. My belly was really looking like the one of a pregnant woman.
I tried every diet, sports and philosophies. The best I could do was to look sharper for one month or two. But soon I was back to my then regular balloon shape. Suddenly the pandemics hit. I have always been known because of my extreme calm temper. But with the pandemics and the cinema industry worst crisis ever. Finally, I got caught by the stress, fighting to nurture my 5-year-old boy and wife, so the stress gave me a health condition called Gastritis.
Have you ever had gastritis? If you did, you know what I’m talking about. If you don’t, you’d better take care and wish to never face it.
Because gastritis is one of these conditions that really hurts your guts and make you feel very vulnerable. It’s a disease that can be generated by a bacteria called H Pylori, but also because of the long-term ingestion of bad quality food, and to make it harder and more dramatic the main cause is the emotional state of the person.
Fortunately, my family has this tradition of being surrounded by health magicians. Magicians because we regularly take the advice of doctors of homeopathy, anthroposophy, Asian, and also Western philosophies. What helps us to get a 360 degrees vision about what is really happening to us and what would be the right steps to follow.
After a careful talk with these magic angels that follow my health, I was imposed a nutrition reeducation. So, I stopped all sugar, dairy, wheat and gluten.
It was really hard at the beginning because I love deserts, I love pizza, cheeseburgers and everything related to melted cheese, and I used to eat pasta and bread almost every day. I’m 43-year-old man who plays 2 hours soccer once a week and lets convey that this not enough exercising time.
But after 10 days I looked at the mirror and I had the impression of deflating.
It was really weird. But I was deflating. I could clearly perceive it when looking at my belly, my chest, my neck, at my cheeks and my wedding ring was free from my finger fat again. I was really astonished because It was not about eating less or doing more work outs, but I could finally see a light in the end of the tunnel. The possibility of being back to my 30ies old shape. This really motivated me to keep going with my new nutrition style.
I said myself and to the doctors that every 10 days I could let myself free to eat the yummies sugared cakes, the pizzas and cheeseburgers. What I did, and it really helped me to keep going. Also, the holiday parties came, and I have let myself go. It was important to me to not be the boring guy who is invited to the friends’ houses and cannot eat or drink “ceci or cela”. So, when someone invite us to have a dinner somewhere, I make sure to eat everything they offer.
Now it’s been 3 months that I have started the reeducation. I have replaced deserts, by fruits like banana, and pear. I have replaced wheat and gluten by chickpeas, corn, rice and quinoa pasta/flour. I have replaced wheat bread and cheese by pumpernickel Germany style bread and honey. I have replaced cow milk by oat and coconut milk. Cheese is still an issue because cheese is impossible to replace accordingly, but cheese has two substances that are really bad for one’s health, lactose and casein. So, when I’m dying to eat cheese, I eat cheese. But it needs to be at least within a 10 days window . It’s impossible to replace an angus cheeseburger. So, when I’m dying for a cheeseburger, I eat a cheeseburger.
The important is to have the time to detoxicate again before you repeat it and find yourself back to a bad nutrition behavior. As far as my new way to eat goes I feel less and less tempted to eat deserts, cheese and wheat. So my ten days gap sometimes goes to 15 or 20 days .
The result is at the mirror, is on the touch of my hands, is on the way my wife flirts with me, to not mention the new “passing by fans”. I have lost almost all my cheeks, chest, neck, and belly without doing a single abdominal work out. I also understood that I have no more injuries while playing soccer as I used to have before my reeducation. I’m almost back to my early 30ies fit and I’m feeling no nostalgia of sugar, dairy, wheat and gluten.
The most important lesson I take from it, is that we are often eating too much of something, too much turns any food in poison but specially these 3 . Poison makes your body dives into a process of inflammation, you think you’re growing fat, but actually you are inflating. So, when I stopped to consume sugar, dairy, wheat and gluten, I have started to kill the inflammation my body was suffering from. Now I’m feeling well, thinner and fit. But I did not lose any fat, because I was not fat. I just deflated.
I’m not a doctor, I’m just a regular person like you, but I’m sharing my story because I wish you to stop your body inflammation process and deflate too.
Deflate yourself!
