What is intermittent fasting?

By Vijay VeeraPublished 4 years ago 3 min read

About three weeks ago, I decided to try the intermittent fasting diet plan. It's what all the cool kids are doing these days.

And it turns out that it works pretty well for me. So I decided to write a blog post about my experience with this diet so far.

Here's How You Can Lose 15 Pounds In 3 Weeks

1. What is intermittent fasting?

Intermittent fasting is a pattern of eating that involves regularly going for periods of time without food. The most common version of intermittent fasting is known as the 16:8 diet, which involves restricting your daily eating to an eight-hour window and fasting for the remaining 16 hours.

While there are many variations of intermittent fasting, they all have one thing in common: they involve going without food for a period of time. This is a great way to reduce your overall calorie intake, which can help you lose weight.

If you’re thinking about trying intermittent fasting, it’s important to know that there are different types of intermittent fasting and they all have different effects on your body. Here are the most common types of intermittent fasting and how they work.

The Fast Diet: The Fast Diet is a form of intermittent fasting that involves eating normally for five days out of the week and severely restricting your calorie intake on two non-consecutive days.

For example, you might eat all of your calories for the day on Monday and then eat very little or nothing at all on Tuesday through Friday.

Alternate Day Fasting: Alternate-day fasting is a form of intermittent fasting that involves eating normally for one day and severely restricting your calorie intake on the next. For example, you might eat all of your calories for the day on Monday and then eat very little or nothing at all on Tuesday through Friday.

The 5:2 diet is another intermittent fasting method, which allows you to eat normally five days a week and restrict your calories to just 500 to 600 for the other two days.

While these types of intermittent fasting are not required in order to reap the benefits of fasting, they can be a great way to jump-start your weight loss and help you get used to the idea of fasting.

2. The benefits of intermittent fasting

Intermittent fasting is a way of eating that cycles between periods of fasting and eating.

The benefits of intermittent fasting include:

- Increased insulin sensitivity - Improved brain function - Reduced inflammation - Increased fat burning - Reduced oxidative stress - Extended lifespan

Intermittent fasting is not a diet, it's a pattern of eating.

- It's not about what you eat, it's about when you eat.

Intermittent fasting is a powerful tool for weight loss and health promotion.

3. How to do it!

Intermittent fasting is a pattern of eating, not a diet. It's about when you eat, not what you eat. There are many different ways to do intermittent fasting, here are some examples:

- Eat dinner at 7 pm, then don't eat again until 1 pm the next day.

- Don't eat for 24 hours, once a week.

- Skip breakfast and lunch, then eat dinner at 7 pm and last until 12pm the next day.

- Eat dinner at 7 pm every night and then fast for 16 hours until 12pm the next day.

- Skip breakfast and lunch, then eat dinner

Thus how I Lost 15 Pounds In 3 Weeks With Intermittent Fasting. Try to follow this method to reduce body weight without doing any difficult exercises.
