Give me a bowl of water

Give me a bowl of water

By SHAWN GREENLEAFPublished 3 years ago 3 min read

I'm squeaky dumb and can't talk to him. Then, Shouting, the devil ran up to us and threw flames in our faces. The princess chased after us, and we were surrounded by two flames. The princess's fire did not hurt us, but the devil's fire blinded my eyes and scorched the king's cheek and beard and lips. A flame fell on the eunuch, burning him alive. We were in such a mess that we thought we were doomed. At the height of the crisis, a voice suddenly sang, "Allah is greatest! Allah is greatest! He guides us to conquer evil." With that, the devil was burned to death by the princess's flame, and instantly turned into a heap of ashes.

The princess came to us and said, "Give me a bowl of water." So she took the water, murmured a mantra, sprinkled the water on me and said, "By the power of Allah and his great name, restore your true form."

When the princess said this, I shuddered, and suddenly I was back to my former self. Unfortunately, one of my eyes has been burned out by the devil's fire.

"Father," said the princess, "I am dying because I have never fought the devil. If he were only a man, I could kill him quickly; I was so hard to defeat him, because the pomegranate seeds scattered on the ground, if I peck it, the devil will be destroyed immediately. But in a twist of fate, he appeared several times, and fought me, and fought me to the death on earth, in the air, and in the water. Every time I cast a spell, he used the same spell against me, and finally he used fire against me. No magician has ever used fire and still been unable to defeat it. Luckily fate took care of me and let me burn him first. But I'm about to die. When I'm gone, Allah will give you another daughter."

As the princess spoke, a black flame burned on her breast and spread over her face. At that moment she wept and said, "I confirm that Allah is the sole ruler and Muhammad is Allah's apostle."

Then she died in the fire, and became a heap of ashes.

We were terribly sad to see our lives taken apart. I cannot bear to see the beautiful princess who saved me burned to ashes. I would rather die in her place. I wish it, but Allah's plan is not mortal. When the king saw the princess burned to ashes, he beat his chest and cried, tore his clothes and pulled out his beard, and wept bitterly. I cried too, tears welling up. Hearing the sound, the king's attendants and his ministers rushed to see that the king was on the verge of death, and there were two piles of ashes on the ground. They were frightened and frightened, and hurried around him to save him.

Slowly the king came to and told them about the princess's struggle with the devil. They considered it a calamity to the nation, and the servants and ministers mourned and wept.

Then the king held a funeral for the princess, which lasted seven days. The king ordered a tall tomb to be built for the princess, and oil lamps to be lit. He ordered the ashes of the devil to be scattered about, leaving no trace in the wind.

"It is over. Only Allah the Great can save us. We belong to Allah and we all go back to Allah. I should have known better than to ask her to free the monkey, and save her from the danger of fighting with this powerful demon. If only we hadn't seen the monkey! It is an unlucky thing, it brings trouble, and we save it out of compassion, but we have great trouble!"
