Free Weekly Reading #53

Mirror Dragon Tarot

Each week when I do these readings I set up my reading space with black fabric, (for the photo, mostly but it also allows for and smooth, calm space to focus on the cards) make sure I have undisturbed quiet time; dogs are out, husband is at work/play/store/whatever, phone is off, etc… I begin with a quick grounding meditation and settle into a centered peace to ask for guidance in choosing the cards which will be most appropriate for the week ahead. I shuffle the cards with my intent in mind and spread them in a dealer’s “ribbon spread”. Then with eyes closed, I ask for the Center card, the West card and finally, the East card, reaching out to the spread, touching the cards and choosing the one that feels most fully under my finger tip, then sliding them into their positions. Before opening my eyes I return to a calm, centered state and do my best to sense whether the three cards I’ve chosen are the most fitting for the highest and best for all involved. Only then do I turn them face up and photograph them for the reading. There are times when I see the three cards before me and groan or breathe a sigh of relief but I always use the cards I’ve selected ”blindly”.

That said;

This week will have a decidedly feminine feel to it. With the Princess at the Center and the Queen in the East we’ve got practicality and clear, linear thinking to give our fiery ideas some parameters and ground them into practical reality. Fortunately, implementing our plans should go smoothly with the added facet of nurturing intention to ease them gently into place.

The Center card is the Princess of Pentacles.

This princess is confident in her abilities and with her knowledge of the Earthly matters we deal with -- our resources;-- time, money, energy, talent and our physical bodies. With this sense of capability and clarity we search our environment for the tools, people, money and time we need to make things work, in reality, not just the planning stages. We’re bubbling over with a desire to find all that we need to fulfill our intentions. Our excitement to bring our own ideas to fruition may meet with some opposition but a gentle hand and thoughtful word will go a long way to alleviate conflict.

The West card is the 7 of Wands.

With this seven we find the deep, inner knowing that we have shifted. We’ve outgrown old focus, relationships, patterns, habits and systems that have led us to this point and we’ve made the choice to release the horse that brought us this far and let him go free. He only knows how to get us to this point and he has others to guide from the past patterns and structures we’ve exceeded. Combined with the Earthy dedication of the princess of Pentacles we’re well able to note and store the lessons we’ve compiled and move on to those we’re still curious about and fascinated by. The determination to begin bringing our new plans ideas into reality allows us to pat that good horse on its flank, thank him and send him on his way.

The East card is the Queen of Swords.

This queen is a master of core values, loving structure and personal boundaries, whether those boundaries are hers or someone else's. She is highly aware of just where to insert or hold back her influence. This will be a key asset for the week as we’re all looking at breaking old, unnecessary habits and what we see as unhelpful and a burden could be vitally important to someone near us. Here is where the feminine energy of nurturance, acceptance and gentility serve us well. As we change in this life what we decide needs to be different almost always affects the others around us and if they’re not in complete sync with those changes, we often get opposition. To the degree that we can acknowledge the confusion, fear, reluctance or full-on refusal of the folks we deal with, understand that they have their own lessons to face and take their discomfort at face value. Without taking it personally we can move easily forward. We can send our trusty steed back to them and perhaps he’ll lead them in the same direction. Or perhaps not.

In Conclusion;

This will be a week of “cleaning house” whether physically, emotionally, cognitively or all of the above. Yes we may face opposition and maybe we’ll find we need to let go of things that have, in the past, seemed necessary but the clarity and creativity we have access to at this time keeps us motivated and determined to make new pathways, new habits, new traditions.

Have a liberating week!

Light, Tory

TIP for the week: It would be better for me… that multitudes of men should disagree with me rather than I, being one, should be out of harmony myself. Socrates
