COVID-19 is a serious health threat for all of us, and there are many ways to fight it, besides following the recommendations of your Government. Of course there are masks and gloves and soaps and hand sanitizers; but it's just not enough to fight the germs!

On top of recommendations from the Government such as masks, gloves, hand washing, etc.; we all need to be a lot cleaner than that to fight the virus. In addition to these precautions we need to seriously be staying home unless we absolutely need to, so make sure you have the following on hand:

-All purpose cleaner

-Kitchen cleaner

-Bathroom cleaner

-Dish soap

-Floor cleaner

-Mop (I recommend the Swiffer Wetjet)

-Vacuum & Broom

-Bleach

-Laundry Disinfectant

-Disinfecting Wipes

-Antibacterial soap, body wash

-Shampoo & Conditioner

-Stroller covers (for weather, etc.)

-Baby hand and face wipes

If you have kids and pets at home or are expecting, be sure the brand you're using is safe for them. I use Greenworks, Lysol, Dapple, Swiffer WetJet, Mr. Clean,

In order to fight the virus I have established the following routine for my family and I:

Every day we all shower (and I bathe the baby) and make sure we're clean, we wear gloves and masks in public (other than the baby) and practice social distancing and regular handwashing. My boyfriend works 2-3 days per week, so 2-3 days per week I have the opportunity to clean.

I start with the dishes and laundry, and like to add laundry disinfectant (Lysol) to all my loads. Next I'll sweep and vacuum, so that I can mop properly. Then, obviously I'll mop, and while I let the floor dry I usually take a break or feed my son... so I make sure I wash his floor and the kitchen and living room floors first.

Next, I spray the bathroom and kitchen, sometimes I use bleach for stains if my cleaners don't work... bleach is also great for cleaning sinks and removing some stains, among other awesome uses. If it's the baby's clothes though I use baby stain remover. After I wipe that all down and let it dry, I go over them again with an all purpose cleaner to get rid of harsh smells/residue.

After the house is clean I take my baby-safe cleaners and I go nuts on his furniture, toys, feeding supplies, etc. I then sterilize anything that can be boiled by putting it into water on the stove.

When I have to take my baby out I make sure his stroller is well covered and protected. I always keep my distance and never allow people to approach the stroller, touch it, or look inside of it. After all, babies are among the most at-risk individuals when it comes to contracting COVID-19.

Children under the age of TWO YEARS SHOULD NOT WEAR A FACE MASK. This is extremely dangerous and can cause suffocation in infants under 24 months. Do not follow any other mask instructions you may see on the internet for infants. No child is safe wearing a face covering under the age of two years and this can be fatal. Failure to follow this guideline may result in child neglect charges should you mask your child under two years and should it result in loss of life. You will not be eligible for legal compensation if you lose your child under the age of two because he or she is wearing a mask, so it is important to find an alternative method of protection. The most common is baby wearing or stroller transportation, but during the pandemic it is safer to use a stroller with weather covers, etc.

Whenever I go out, whether I take my son or not, I ALWAYS wash my hands between stores and once I get home. Make sure you clean your stroller, toys, and other things your baby frequently comes in contact with to minimize bacteria.

This, thankfully, has kept my family from getting sick. I hope this helps!
