
Stress is apart of life and there’s no running away from it. You must face stress head on. You have no choice. It’s inevitable that you’re gonna experience it. So treat stress like a bull and grab it by the horns. You must deal with stress whether you like it or not. This is not debatable. The only people who don’t get stressed are those who are dead.
Stress can drive you crazy. Stress can make you lose your temper, it can show you what you’re really made of. Stress can take you to the pits of hell and back. Stress can affect to a large extent your mental health. This is where it does the most damage. Stress can cause you to undergo emotional trauma. You can’t escape it, but you can manage it. Stress can become manageable and tolerable. But sometimes stress, depending on what is causing the stress, can overwhelm you and take to the brink of death.
Many end up becoming suicidal from being under tremendous amounts of stress all at one time. It can make one emotionally unstable and prone to relieving themselves of it in a negative way. Many people smoke to deal with stress. For them smoking calms their nerves, which spiral out of control when they’re stressed. Someway, somehow inhaling and exheling the smoke actually relieves them of stress.
Stress can be very detrimental to our health. It’s not only smoking that people do to deal with stress, people also drink alcohol. Drinking also helps people deal with stress. This is why people who close from work, especially those who work in an office, go to a bar after work to get a few drinks to relieve themself of stress. Unfortunately, many people abuse such substances like smoking and drinking. It becomes an addiction for many, which can lead you on a destructive path.
Some use prayer to manage stress. Just being able to pray to a higher power eases the stress of many. The belief that a spiritual being is all knowing and mighty keeps people at peace. Also, listening to music. Just being able to listen to their favorite music or songs can relieve them of stress. Music makes people happy and in high spirits, so it can be a way of reducing or getting rid of stress.
For example, I work at Amazon as a warehouse associate. When I feel stressed, tired, sleepy or just want to go home early, I opt for VTO (Voluntary Time Off), which relieves me of a great deal of stress. After getting Voluntary Time Off (VTO) I feel very relaxed. I’m at ease because I know I’m done working for the night. I can chill out. So I try and take it every once in a while when the stress builds up and is too much to bear.
Stressing over money can be one of the worst forms of stress. When you lack financially, you are stressed because you don’t have or earn enough money. You have a lot of responsibilities or bills to pay and there’s nothing left over after you pay them. It’s a never ending cycle that leaves you stressed and living paycheck to paycheck. When you don’t have enough money in this world, you become very sad and stressed. This can lead to depression.
Family stress can be just as severe as work stress and financial stress. Your family members can put you through stress when you it’s time to get together. Everyone’s personality is different and so when they collide, it can cause chaos. Siblings fight a lot among each other and this alone can be highly stressful. You always have to come in between them and break them up. One always says the other did this or did that. It’s the worst experience ever.
