Every day I take CoQ10, apple cider vinegar capsules, Moringa, Zinc, Magnesium, Lutien, D3, B12 and try to get 5-8 hours of sleep each night. When I only get 5-6 hours of sleep I take a nap after work. I’m 51 and this routine has really chased away wrinkles. I take baths with Epsom salts and oils to keep my skin hydrated and to detox. I meditate every day, often to music or chants or just ambient sound with whale or dolphin sounds in the mix. This routine awakens my pineal gland and allows my to access a higher consciousness.
My lil BunBun bunny keeps me busy so I don’t snack to much, and my husband makes the most wonderful salads with almost every meal except breakfast. I love fiber snacks and fruit and I only drink non dairy “milk.” I like my food to be as natural and organic as possible, so we keep a lil herb garden for us and Bun Bun gets fresh wheatgrass.
I’m a screenwriter and that is very good for my soul. I often dance and walk in nature to breathe and free my mind; be one with elements. When I dance I love songs with a good drum beat, tribal sounds. I always need to be near water and trees...it’s so detoxifying! I love to breathe the salt air at the Ballard locks and Golden Gardens. For a forest walk in the city I love to walk through Discovery park, which also offers a sandy Bluff trail overlooking the sound. Stop and hug a tree.
I often get my best ideas when the veil is thin...2-4 am, so I wake early to write notes and go back to sleep. I sign petitions all the time, every week, to make the world a better place and bring justice. I love to sing when I’m sad or happy! Sing! It’s good for your soul!! Sing loud!!!
I never stop learning, so when I have spare time I listen to podcasts about cooking or writing. I limit my TV time to a good Netflix show just before bedtime, but switch over to music that will help me lucid dream, at least 30 minutes to an hour or two before actually falling asleep.
I don’t own a sofa, so we are in a good habit of walking and talking along the small nature reserve and pond walk near our home. I especially love to walk and talk with my son, even with covid masks. The bus is free at this time, so I’m enjoying trying out new routes so my husband can drive to work, since I work from home at this time. Nature and Bun Bun help me stay grounded during these uncertain times. It’s important to keep a positive mindset and soak up the naturally positive vibes nature provides. I do a lot of birdwatching from my porch, and feel blessed every time a hummingbird comes to drink from the flower buds.
I’ve been re-reading books that were good reads and taking inspiration for future projects. I’m constantly studying metaphysical science and holistic living. When I need to rest my mind and thoughts I love to watch short videos about animals or music. It’s good to take small mind breaks, especially during uncertain times. I always think into the future, never letting my thoughts and emotions get stagnant or bogged down. When I feel stagnant, it’s time to walk in nature more and listen to music more; free myself. I’m obsessed with Tiny Home living and I’m constantly thinking and learning about what can happen in 350-700 square feet of space, and be mobile! Technology allows us to work anywhere! So tiny homes are the new and fabulous thing. I’m determined to incorporate something cool for my bunny and guests to visit. I love recycled products, so I’m constantly learning about what’s new and saving the best products to buy or invest in at a later date.
