Can a Low-Carb Diet Reverse Diabetes?
Low-carb diets may benefit someone with Diabetes
Are you on the verge of getting Diabetes?
Have you been told you are almost nearly Diabetic because of your blood glucose levels are getting higher?
Well, I am one of those people. Try the low-carb diet. It's a Diabetic diet to lose weight fast. I did it. You can reverse your Diabetes using this Diabetic diet. It's a medical weight loss plan that could change your life!
Being told that you are either pre-diabetic or diabetic is something that most overweight people dread. I know I did because both of my parents were Diabetic along with a brother who now has Type 2 Diabetes like myself. A Diabetic Diet that is a low-carb diet can now benefit you if you want to reverse diabetes or help you lower blood glucose levels.
I don't want to get to the point where I have to take tablets for life and watch what I eat every day on top of having to worry about how my health could deteriorate. Diabetes is not something you can control if you carry on eating sugar on a daily basis. I didn't know what to do about it until I searched online for some answers. When I did, I found an article so inspiring that it made me want to write about it.
What I found was an article that was written on the Diabetes Self Management website titled Can Type 2 Diabetes Be Reversed? It explains how you can reverse diabetes by cutting out certain foods. It tells readers how to eat a diet without having carbohydrates. Apparently, not having any carbs can severely reduce your blood sugar levels and reverse diabetes. A low-carb diet is now supposed to help a diabetic. Even a vegan diet can produce results according to the Diabetes Self-Management website.
I wanted to give the low carbohydrate diet a go and see if my blood sugar levels would decrease before my next blood test. If you are interested or you are in a similar situation, then read this article titled The Low Carb Diabetic because it will give you more information about how it can be done.
Does it work?
I gave the low-carb diet a go and it definitely works but before that, I ended up having to take medication and eventually became Type 2 Diabetic. I had to take Metformin; three tablets per day and being diabetic is a blow to your health regime when it comes to eating out. So doing the low-carb diet was a way to combat my problems with Diabetes because I was at a low with the disease when I started to suffer from urinary tract infections, itching and stomach pains. I was constantly feeling ill so when I did the low-carb diet it rectified my illnesses.
During the low-carb diet, my glucose levels decreased quite a bit, but I still have a long way to go. I have lost two stone so far whilst being on a low carb diet, so I am hoping I will lose a lot more in the next few weeks. So, if you are on the verge of getting diabetes or you suffer from diabetes, then please don't give up, because you can beat it doing a diabetic diet using the low-carb diet system!
I didn't want to be diabetic like my family, but I have been told that it's a hard thing to beat if it runs in your genes. So, I finally had to take Metformin because my blood sugar levels would not go down.
Of course, I refused to believe this and now that I have read about it, I know it can be beaten. So, I am determined to beat this crazy disease.
If there are any other people out there like myself who are pre-diabetic, then please do not lose hope, because there is a way to prevent diabetes by sticking to a low-carb diet plan.
If you have the willpower to cut out carbs, then give it a try and see what happens. I know I will! Also, in the process, you will lose weight and that is a good thing.
So, give up bread, all sugars, pizzas, fruit, spaghetti, pasta, potatoes, rice, and any other carbohydrates.
Stick to foods like salad, vegetables which are good carbs, eggs, cheese, tuna, fish, salmon, chicken, and other proteins.
Asparagus is good for you, so I am going to make a Spinach and Asparagus soup. I found a great recipe online
I hope this helps all those people out there who may be on the verge of getting diabetes or if you have diabetes already!
