The Salad

First things first, if you are looking for the recipe for the tofu salad in the image above it is pretty simple. When I wasn't vegan I would use chicken instead of tofu stir fry and it's delicious either way.

Dressing

1/2 cup of Hellman's Vegan Dressing

1 tablespoon of olive oil

1 tablespoon of honey

1 tablespoon of Thai Kitchen's Sweet Red Chili Sauce

1 tablespoon of Maries Balsamic Vinaigrette

Squirt of Maille's Honey Dijon Mustard

1/2 Teaspoon of Minced Garlic

1/4 teaspoon of salt

Generous amount of cumin

Generous amount of paprika

Generous amount of chili powder

Salad

1 heart of romaine lettuce

1/4 cup of diced red bell pepper

1/4 cup of diced orange pepper

1/4 cup of diced yellow pepper

1/2 of a ripe avocado

1/2 cup boiled, drained canned Goya black beans

Tablespoon of cilantro

8 oz. stir fried tofu

Dr. Sebi the Persuader

I have been experimenting with vegan foods here and there. I decided to try being a vegan for a few weeks just to see what impact it had on my body. I must say being a vegan for a few weeks had incredible on my health. It actually made me wonder if I should change my entire lifestyle of the twenty-nine years of meat eating to permanently becoming a vegan. Dr. Sebi , a Honduran herbalist, made several videos speaking on the benefits of eating raw fruits and vegetables and how they provide natural benefits. He was originally who persuaded me.

40 Days and 40 Nights

My journey began Wednesday June 30, 2021 and ended Saturday August 7, 2021, a total of 40 days and 40 nights. Wednesday I fasted and had no solid food at all only water and decaffeinated tea. It was the first time I have ever fasted in my entire life. The first few hours and the last few hours were the most difficult. By Saturday August 7, 2021 I noticed several particularly...

• Stubborn bloat disappeared

• Morning hawking stopped

• Dry mouth went away

• My tongue was more pink and I had less plaque build-up after food consumption

• I had energy from and no more laziness after eating

• I had an increase libido

• Eczema wasn't itching anymore

• I didn't feel depressed

Pros to Vegan & Pros to Eating Meat

Reasons to become plant based aka vegan

1. Humans are anatomically herbivorous which means our teeth are not made to rip flesh and our intestines are too long. Due to the lengthiness of the human intestines meat begins to rot during the process of digestion.

2. The human stomach is made for herbs and plants which don’t require a lot of acid to break down so we develop digestive issues when consuming meat.

3. We collect the negative energies from the meat we eat.

4. It is more ethical as it does not involve the slaughter of an animal.

5. Livestock cause 14.5% of toxic emission that contributes to air pollution and global warming such as carbon dioxide which remain in the air for hundreds of years.

6. Animals can transfer zoonotic diseases to humans aka viruses, bacteria, parasites and fungi. That means zoonotic influenza, salmonellosis, west nile virus, plague, coronaviruses, rabies, lyme disease and brucellosis.

7. Animal meat is high in saturated fat that contribute to heart disease and obesity.

8. The mass production and force breeding livestock so humans can consume meat increases the amount of gas released that cause global warming and that causes the extinction of animals who cannot adapt to the swiftly rising temperatures.

Reasons to eat meat and it’s by products

1. High protein content

2. Good source of omega 3 fatty acids

3. Tastes delicious

Attention Vegan Wannabe's

For the people who are thinking about trying something like this as I did I want to offer a few suggestions. This is not an easy journey. It is a very conscious journey. This journey will be even more challenging if you surround yourself with meat eaters. This requires 24.7 mindfulness. In everything you consume you must be aware of the ingredients. You will not be able to eat out at most places as they cross contaminate dairy and meat often and you cannot monitor the chef. If you do, make sure it is a strictly vegan restaurant, meaning no meat or dairy by product even enters the kitchen. The second thing is that I am not sure if you are aware but Worcestershire sauce has meat in it. I didn’t even know prior it is made from anchovy. There are so many things I have learned during this trial of mine. Like the fact that vegan cheeses don’t melt like regular cheese and for the most part don’t even compare taste wise so might as well cut it out completely. Not only that but many breads contain milk or butter which are not vegan friendly. I have personally traded in my whole cow’s milk for almond milk and they even have chocolate which is my fave to drink. The only brand of bread I ate was Nature’s Own and the only brand of butter I ate was Smart Balance with olive oil. They are vegan for the most part and taste like normal butter and bread. As a wise man once said, "the greatest battles are fought in the mind." Tell yourself you got this and believe it!
