4 tricks to understand the message of candles

Candles are our companions on the road when we pray and when we make some rituals but there's more, it counts a history about our praying and about the energy involved in the ritual.

Looking at the candles flame we can know if there are problems to achieve our goals or not.

As you begin working with candles, you will discover that they have a unique language expressed by different things like:

• the dancing of the flame
• the wafting of the smoke
• the wafting of the snap
• the crackle of the burning wax.

1 - The dancing flame

The still flame speaks of good results.

If the flame moves up and down hard, then there is a problem and potentially dangerous situations will arise, it's time to be careful.

A Weak Flame: the spell may have a weak start (if it increases in size as your candle continues burning it may indicate that your spell is gaining power), or it may indicate that patience is needed in your request and to see the results you want may take time and more effort on your part.

A Flame that Puts Itself Out: more work needs to be done, your desire may not be granted soon and you need to put in more work or energy, if you have called upon a deity to assist you they may not agree with what you are asking/working for at this point in time.

The Strong Flame: this indicates that power and energy are going into your desires for manifestation. This is a very good sign.

2 - Excess smoke

If the candle is having an excess smoke there's a signal of bad interferences, you need to work a lot to get your goals. It's recommended to do a purification action in the place and repeat our praying.

Puffs of Black Smoke Being Released: this usually means that you are fighting some sort of energy that is interfering with what you are working towards (it can be a spirit, another practitioner, ect.) or that you are releasing or fighting negativity

3 - If the flame goes out before the candle melts

A part of the order has been carried out but things will be pending. In these cases the best is repeat another time.

4 - The candle burns fast

Indicates that the request will be fulfilled quickly.

These are some tricks so you can understand what the candles are telling you.

Remember, the language of the candle is important. The direction of the flame, the wafting of the smoke, and the audible chatter are all a from of communication for divination into past, current, and future events. Take notes and learn the language of the candle so you can better understand the workings of your magic.

Whenever you are looking for omens in candle language, always use your common sense. Remember that each magical act is different and reach candle is unique.
