10 Rituals to Spend a Radiant Life
A toolkit for living a peaceful, motivated, and happy life
Are you the one who is looking for peace of mind, motivated and happy life? I’ve come across a few rituals to achieve it.
I’m the one who is looking for peace in life throughout my conscious life. I do believe there are so many others wandering in search of the true path of life. We’re the ones who’re following our lives in a machine schedule and most of the time at a cost to ourselves.
If you want to find answers about life, we find wise words of our fellow beings. They offer their tools to be adopted to spend our time on this beloved planet with love and care. Most of the time we used to hear so many positive actions and words to make our lives meaningful but we failed to adopt them in true spirit or we stop too early in the process. So we don’t reach the destined milestone of a life of joy and motivation.
How many of you’ve tried to reduce weight and started different diets? Many of you might become successful but there will be a few who won’t. How many of you started jogging early in the morning and how many come up with the routine? I doubt many of us stick with the process.
It happens that we don’t stick with the plan and often fail in the process. We need to follow some processes to come to the victory stage.
There are so many wise persons around us or their work is around us to take benefit from. But, most of the time we remain unaware of the same or fail to understand and apply it to the core.
Recently I read Robin Sharma’s book “The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari” The book is about how to become the best version of one’s self. I was able to get so much energy from the 10 Rituals of Radiant life. I’ve been able to extract these rituals to share with the people to whom it will concern with the intent to offer betterment in the lives of readers.
1-Ritual of Solitude
As the title suggests it requires the person to be alone every day to give him the break from his routine life. We must give ourselves a moment of peace every day. This will be your pit stop and will enable you to stop for a while and again rise with the roar.
How to apply:
You need to sit in a quiet place in your home without any distractions. You must give yourself calm and give your mind a breather from all the adversities of life and continuous thinking about the issues of routine life. You are not required to spend more than 15 minutes a day to achieve the results of the action. We must keep it as a daily morning routine for ourselves.
2- Ritual of Physicality
You must take care of your physical body to nourish your mind. The more you care for your body the better will be the mind. You should provide a better physical environment to your body to allow good nourishment.
How to apply:
To meet this ritual, one needs to be as physically active as one can be. You need to go for exercises, morning walks, gym, etc to give your body good respect. We should at least give 30 minutes of the entire day for the betterment of our body. We need to focus on our Yoga and breathing exercises to send sufficient oxygen to the organs to enable them to perform better every day.
3- Ritual of Live Nourishment
This ritual requires you to feed your body with fresh vegetables, fruits, and grains. It is a kind of high octane fuel for our body as compared to junk and processed food. This is the diet that nature has intended for mankind and it does not come with any kind of deficiency. It is a pure diet.
How to apply:
We need to skip processed and junk food to the best of our abilities to provide ourselves with the right kind of fuel in the shape of green vegetables and grains. However, if some of you find it difficult to stay away from white meat, you can add green salads to your foods to provide some kind of required balance even if not of a 100% vegetarian diet. You’ve to try and make concerted efforts to shift yourselves to a proper natural diet in the shape of vegetables and grains.
4- Ritual of Abundant Knowledge
We must keep on learning and expanding knowledge for the betterment of ourselves and those who are around us. We have to make it a habit to read on a regular basis to find answers about life. The problems of life are not new, our ancestors also faced them, and answers are written in the books which we need to explore to ease out our lives.
How to apply:
You have to read the books more and more to reach for their true message. By reading the right books we can get the answers to the problems we are facing today. Books will just take your original self out of your body as it is the enlightenment everyone needs. We have countless books which one would love to read; a few names are given for reference.

5- Ritual of Personal Reflection
This ritual requires you to be aware of yourself on regular basis. You’ve to analyze your positive and negative thoughts and actions to correct them and execute them differently. We often spend our days on a regular pattern but we need to give it a closer look to remain positive in our lives for ourselves and others around us.
How to apply:
Its application is not very difficult. We just need to focus a little to conduct the exercise regularly. We have to get a pen and paper and write down how the day passed. We have to write every possible event of the day. After, we need to rank the events in positive and negative marks. We need to assess the ones with negative marks and deliberately try to find a possible better action to the situation. We’ll surely come up with better ideas than we could deal with the situation. No worries, it happens as it will prepare us for the next of these kinds of events and gradually we will be having fewer negative marks on our list.
6- Ritual of Early Awakening
An early wake-up is something we can find in many of the authors we are talking about. Quality sleep is something that matters, not the quantity of sleep which most people are experiencing. We have to give importance to 10 minutes before and after sleep as they set the tone for our sleep and the day.
How to apply:
We have to schedule our sleep in a way to give our body enough time to prepare for the next day. All of us look for quality sleep rather than the quantity of restless sleep. We have to go to sleep without thinking about the problems of the day or the next day or any other issues. We have to be careful while preparing ourselves for sleep. We have to give peace to the mind in music or something to allow you towards a soothing sleep. Later, once you awake, you must spend some time thinking positively. There is no need to just jump off the bed. You can set the mood of the day in those early minutes in your bed.
7- Ritual of Radiant Music
Try to listen to music, make a habit of listening to smooth and calm music which helps you to release stress and makes you feel good. You must add a little time of music to your life even on a drive to your office.
How to apply:
Music is something most of the people around have used as a soothing tool. It enables us to calm and reach stability if we’re facing disturbance. It has calming effects on our mental and emotional thought processes. Therefore, spending some time listening to music keeps us positive, focused, and happy.
8- Ritual of the Spoken Word
Speaking mantras is considered a proven technique to keep you focused and happy. These mantras can be of different types of affirmations to ourselves. We need to keep on going with these rituals on a regular basis to change our inner self that will change our personality.
How to apply:
Many people around us keep on speaking mantras while doing certain activities or even without doing any activities. This helps them to keep calm and allows them to perform better. These mantras can be of different affirmations. We need to keep on reminding ourselves to keep ourselves motivated and with a positive attitude.
9- Ritual of Congruent Character
This ritual talks about the importance of character building. We need to have the characteristics of compassion, humility, patience, honesty, and courage to lead a happy and successful life. Strengthening our character will affect our actions, our character will guide what actions we choose to take.
How to apply:
You always need to do the right things, no matter what. We always know what is right and what is wrong in the affairs of our life. Always pick the right one if you want to build a character to give you success. Our character is a build-up of our actions that determine our destiny.
10- Ritual of Simplicity
This ritual requires you to live a simple life. It will allow you peace and calmness. Your priorities should be truly meaningful activities. There is no point keeping the high targets of bank balance in your life as you will revise it again and again. The lesser and simple life is what will give you peace of mind.
How to apply:
We as human beings are always in a race to beat others on the playing field, business, and other portions of life. We need to stop that and live a content life and wish for the most essentials of life. We can see people who are building bank balances till the end without enjoying real life. We’ve to be a bit rational as achieving business success is not good but we have to live our life as well. Therefore, we should not be chasing the attractions of life all around and forget what already have.
