My old buddy found me by Searching my first and surname names only a few days ago. He discovered a slew of publications that included my name, like my own webpage, which ranked first.

Searching for your name on the internet is like putting money in your pocket.

This reminded me of a customer I had who when you Googled their name, was nowhere to be found. This was a major issue because their business was entirely based on referrals, and many individuals looked for their new company on Google to locate their site.

They took two months to start coming up, but once they came, that was a huge source of profit for them. Clients who had been recommended to them were finally able to locate them.

When it comes to optimizing a website for certain keywords, many businesses overlook optimizing with their own corporation.

The Proof

According to a recent Nielsen/Netratings survey, when online users know the name of a website, they prefer to put the domain name into the Google or Yahoo search box rather than typing it into the bookmark toolbar.

What can you deduce from this? If someone has heard of your organization, they will either key in your website name or domain name into the search box, therefore your website better be prepared and waiting at the top of search engine results.

Here are some suggestions for optimizing your company name on your website for search engines. (That is not a comprehensive list of just about anything you can accomplish, but it'll get you beginning.)

Pick one page on your site to optimize for your business name. Your Web page, Contacts Us profile, or About Us section might all be affected. I prefer your Here About section since it appears that talking about yourself on that page is easier and more effective than just about any section. The official website, on the other hand, was all about customers, not you.

If feasible, include your firm name in the Meta tags. Meta attributes are the keywords that are associated with your website's photos.

Images are not indexed by search engines, therefore any content on your site that is displayed as an image will not be found. The content and phrases in the Meta tags are viewed by search results.

Include your business name in your Meta Tags, which include Meta titles, Meta descriptions, and Meta keywords. According to recent research, just 34% of website owners are aware of how to use a basic keyword Meta tag on their site.

As a result, if you add a keyword and optimize the rest of your page effectively, you'll be ahead of 66% of website owners. Many of the 34% of business owners who do include Metadata neglect to include their firm name in the titles, descriptions, and keywords!

Make your firm name a keyword in the body of your chosen page and use it at least 2 folds in the text. Try putting it closer to the top of the page body one more time.

At the beginning and conclusion of each paragraph, as well as at the end of the body, repeat your firm name. Because your firm name is utilized often and throughout the text, search engines will not make any mistakes regarding the content.

Use your business address as a link wherever possible. Instead of merely Contact Us, you may include phrases Contact X or y Company in the linked content on the Main website.
