Smart and Stylish Ways to Showcase Your Tech Collection at Home

Are you a gadget enthusiast? What if I told you that your old gadgets don’t have to rot away inside your storage shelves? Imagine hundreds of dollars’ worth of cool gadgets just collecting dust.

Most smart devices that require the best internet 24/7 are cluttered throughout our homes. But as soon as we buy a new gadget, the old ones are just forgotten. In fact, humans generate over 62 million tons of e-waste every year, and sadly, only a small percentage of this is recycled.

But it does not have to be like that with your gadgets. What if I told you that you can act sustainably while making your home look pretty?

Keep reading for tips on how you can build a dream gadget display in your home.

1. Sort Them Out First

All this noble feat (of making your gadgets a part of your home décor instead of throwing them away) really needs is creativity. But if you are clueless when it comes to home décor, I've got you.

You can start by sorting all the gadgets first. It depends on you if you want to sort them by type, size, or even color.

If you decide to sort them by color, you can display them in chunks of greys, whites, and blacks. But if you decide to sort them by type, let me warn you. If you are not too creative, your display might end up looking like a store display.

2. Add Color to Display Wall

Color can add character to your gadget display wall. That oomph. This is because most gadgets are in muted colors that might not look very attractive as part of your home décor.

A colored wall will make your dull gadgets pop and will look super attractive. If you do not want to be dramatic like that, you can add a plant under your display. It is a great way to add freshness to your display.

3. Choose Your Shelving

Shelves are a super important part of home décor. There is a variety to choose from:

  • Floating Shelves
  • Wooden Shelves
  • Glass shelves
  • Bracket Shelves
  • Cube Shelves
  • Box Shelves

However, you need to be mindful that the shelves should match the overall theme of your home.

Also, keep in mind that if the space you are using for your display is wide, then you can opt for horizontal shelves. But if it’s smaller, you can try vertical shelves.

4. Go 3D

If you do not want to take the shelves-on-the-wall approach, you can go with a 3D display.

This means you will mount your gadgets directly on the wall instead of placing them on a shelf. This will make your display give off sleek and minimal vibes.

If you want each of your gadgets to have a place for themselves, you can put a frame around them as shown in the picture below.

5. Lighting for a final touch

Lights are also a great way to add depth to your gadget display.

They highlight your gadget display and turn it into something that demands attention. Plus, lighting also adds to your room/house’s ambiance and aesthetic appeal.

You can add LED strips under your shelves, or place a spot light on top of your display. Just make sure that the lighting matches the overall vibe of your house. I am talking color temperature of your bulbs, i.e., warm or cool tones. Warm lighting looks excellent if you go for a dark-colored accent wall.

That is it for some tips to help you set up a dream gadget display. Interior design can be daunting for newbies, but being creative can make it super fun. This way, you can display your gadgets instead of throwing them away and give an aesthetic appeal to your home. Two birds with one stone.
