The Perfect Gift

Its that time of year where the perfect gift means everything, but what IS the perfect gift? Every year we have a list of things we desire but have yet to acquire. So, what better time then Christmas to ask for any of those items. We hand out list to everyone who asks and hope for the best. Although what about the ones who don't ask or who don't have a list. How about the ones we want to surprise with the best gift ever. We have NO idea what they want, there is no easy way to make them jump with joy when they open the perfect gift because we don't have a list of things they desire.

However we do have the knowledge of little things that make them happy. If you are wanting to surprise someone with a gift you choose for them its more than likely you spend a good amount of time with them. Therefore you know more about them then most would which means you already have what you need to get them the perfect gift. No need for them to tell you what they want because you already know. Now things probably seem more confusing but think about it. When you are with them what are some things you notice that make their face light up or the things that get them excited?

There may be moments you notice them lingering a little longer on a specific item only to walk away. Maybe they point something out off of an ad probably saying something along the lines of that's pretty cool. All of those little moments give you the opportunity to get them something they really want but don't want to ask for. Its the small little hints of everyday life that give you what you need to make someone happy on a special day.

Although, what if you don't remember them lingering or pointing anything out. What now? Now we look at other actions that may help give away the perfect gift. What tv shows or movies do they constantly talk about? Is there a specific character they are always mentioning? What is their phone screensaver? What type of things do they keep in their room or on their personal items? If you pay attention to any of this little bit of information it gives you an idea to what they like. If you know for sure their favorite character maybe you can get them some merchandise or put together some sort of collage.

Maybe one day you are in their room and you notice a lot of family and friends pictures on their wall. That tells you they cherish the memories so maybe you could make them a scrap book or a collage to put in a picture frame. Perhaps you always see them reading books or at the library. Now you know that they love to read. So start a conversation and watch as their eyes light up talking about the most beautiful story line. Getting them into that conversation might just give you the information you need to give them their favorite book.

There are so many hints in everyday life that give away some of peoples deepest desires. Little facts that aren't always so obvious or may seem annoying to hear every single day. Yet that's some of the most important information you can know when it comes to getting someone that perfect gift. So remember to make a mental note so you know without having to ask and just maybe you will get a better reaction than you were hoping for.
