Pancakes are a popular type of flat, round breakfast food. It is an ancient Greek cuisine; a poet mentioned the name of this cuisine for the first time on his poetry. People usually have it as their breakfast snack. But there are varieties of pancakes.

Do you know about the variety of pancakes?

They are:

American pancakes: Fluff and thick, typically served with butter and syrup.

Crepes: thin delicate pancakes from France, often filled with sweet and savory fillings.

Scotch pancakes: Smaller and thicker from the American pancakes, common in the UK.

Blini: Russian pancakes, usually smaller and served with sour cream or caviar.

Dutch baby: A large, oven baked pancake that puffs up and has a custard like center.

But do you know how to make pancakes? It's very easy to prepare, you can make pancakes within 30 minutes. So, let's know how to make pancakes!

First, we need to prepare the pancake batter. The ingredients we need are;

Flour: The base of the pancake.

Baking powder: Create puffiness by releasing air bubbles when cooked.

Sugar: For sweetness (optional).

Salt: Enhances flavor.

Milk: Provides moisture and helps with the texture.

Egg: bind and batter together.

Put the dry ingredients together in a bowl. Then mix them evenly and then add the wet ingredients, gradually add water and mix them well. Mix them until a medium thick paste is formed.

How to cook?

Well, put a pan on a low flame stove. Then put butter on it if you don't have butter then you can use regular cooking oil instead. Heat the pan a little bit and then pour a thin layer of Pancake batter on it. Put a lid on the pan and wait for a few minutes until the pancake gets prepared. When the pancakes turn upside down into light brown color than it considered as cooked. That's how you can prepare the basic plain pancakes.

How to serve “Pancakes”?

Make some pancakes together. Put the pancakes one on top pf the other, like 3 to 4. Spill some honey syrup and put a butter cube on it. That makes them tastier to eat. Also, you can have them with blueberry topping. But it's not necessary to have pancakes with honey syrup, butter, or blueberries. This step is just optional to make them more tasty and look attractive. Kids usually love to have pancakes with orange juice for their breakfast or as a snack. But you can have only the basic pancakes.

Are pancakes healthy or not?

Well pancakes are a combination of fat, carbs and sugary ingredients. It's high in fat, sugar and calories and lacking in protein and fiber. According to their size a 4-inch pancake contains 86 calories, a 5-inch pancake contains 91 calories, and a 6-inch pancake contains 175 calories. So, we can say that although it looks light and thin, it can play a significant role in increasing your weight. So, it's better not to have pancakes everyday but sometimes in a limit.

But in the end, pancakes are the perfect embrace of warmth and comfort. Each bite is a soft, fluffy reminder of simple joys. With their golden-brown edges and tender heart, they carry the sweetness of syrup like a hug on a plate. Whether shared at a cozy breakfast table or enjoyed in quick solitude, pancakes bring a sense of nostalgia and love to every morning.
