Coffee that is processed using the wet method, where the skin and fruit are removed before the beans are dried, will have a different flavor than coffee processed using the dry method, where the skin and fruit are left on the beans as they dry.
In addition, the way coffee is brewed can also affect the taste. Espresso, for example, is made by forcing hot water through finely ground coffee under high pressure, resulting in a strong, concentrated flavor. French press, on the other hand, is made by steeping ground coffee in hot water for several minutes, resulting in a smoother, milder flavor.
