Looking at Life Through Our First Lens

How the Lens Changed without Our Knowing

Growing up, a very beautiful picture was painted to us about what life and a successful one for that matter was supposed to be. This picture was passed through a lens that was adopted by our parents who also inherited it also from their parents being our great grandparents.

The picture was so clear as if the noon day's sun was projected on it so none of us ever miss the pertinent content of that message. The epitome of that message consist of 6 cardinal points never to be missed by any child born of a man and living in the era between the 70s way down to the 90s.

This holy grill of success includes;

a. Go to school

b. Become a graduate

c. Get a job

d. Build a house

e. Get married with families

f. Enjoy your life there after etc.

Many have carried this mantra without questions and have accepted it like the Ten Commandments given to Moses by God on Mount Sinai.

Our believes in these directives were so effective that, many talents and creativities that God gave were all side-lined. Many parents will beat the hell out of their children if you dare try to deviate from these commandments.

Examining the source of this reveals that, in the early days when industrialization started, factories were built and the owners of these factories like John D. Rockefella and other industrialist, built schools to train people to manage the factories.

After the industrialization age, we were thrown into the distribution age because now, there were so many goods that, a form of distribution system must be in place to enable the efficient distribution of these goods.

The educational platforms created, then started training our forefathers to be data entry clerks, administrators, accountants and managers, both to manage factory workers and people facilitating the distribution of the goods to various corners of the countries.

Schools therefore were made purposely by the rich who own the manufacturing sector at that time. The indoctrination at the time was solely to teach the students all that they need to know to manage workers for the factories, managers to handle the administrative activities and those who serve as supply chain distributors.

Our forefathers had no option than to just depend on the pay check from these factories and the prestige at that time was for you to work in an office managing or overseeing to other workers. We were not made to think creatively or work to generate income for ourselves.

This concept is what has been handed down today, which has made us so lazy that, without the pay check we could not do much out of our own creativity.

Fast forward to today, now the employments bubble has burst, employments are now hard to find, the movement from sitting in the office to home business has now become prevalent.

The idea of being creative with an entrepreneurial drive is now catching on with our youth though many are still looking up to the skies for some of the comfortable pay checks.

I won't dismiss the fact that pay check is good, I believe it's a good place to start, because starting a business from ground zero is not an exciting thing, especially if you have dependants. I always believe you need to start from a pay check and quickly start a side hustle.

Now, the terrain has completely changed, you can now give yourself a self tutelage and develop skills that can earn you a comfortable income from home online.

The lens handed over to us has gradually changed and falling in its place is an entirely different lens which is focusing on a picture that is gradually becoming clearer and clearer by the day. By the time this picture is completely revealed, our way of working and earning money would have completely changed.

You may not be a graduate but with consistency and the application of diligence and the tenacity to hold on and not give up, you could develop highly marketable skills that could earn you more than someone with his or her master's degree.

There is now no limit to what you can become should you apply yourself diligently. The glass ceiling is broken and it could be anybody's game.

We no more have excuses for our inabilities, the mask of impossibilities that we had hid behind for so long is now pulled down.

Youtube alone is a mammoth educational platform that can turn anyone into a professor in some few years depending on what you choose to pursue.

Teenagers are becoming millionaires and people in their 70s with no hope of ever having a rosy retirement are turning their situation around in a couple of few months.

I don't know about you, but whatever you desire to achieve, now is the best time to do that. We are living in our golden years and becoming a millionaire is far easier at this time than ever before.

Information now abounds and nothing is beyond our reach should we dare to extend our hands for it.

Our lens has surely changed and to me it has changed for the better. We may have the negative aspect of these times any way, but to my opinion the positive far outweighs the negative.

Many have noticed this rush to the internet and that's how come now we have over proliferation of platforms, websites, social media sites and others in their heaps and bounds.

The one way by which you could easily make a headway and garner some money in these times is to rather go for the tools that assist the newbie's to make their money online.

It was said that, during the gold rush season when gold was discovered in most part of the world, many rush in to become miners, seeking gold with all the passion that is in them.

The gold rush reports stated that, those who really made money were not those who went seeking and digging the gold but rather those who were selling the tools for digging the gold.

Taking a cue from that, I believe when one takes up the educational front of directing and showing these new gold seekers what they need to do and the tools they need to make it online one would rather make more than digging the gold itself.

We are living in our best generation so far, we may not know how long this era is going to last and what exactly it may metamorphose into in the next decade or so to come.

Aligning ourselves in the place of advantage and raking in the full benefits before it's too late is what we need to do.

As to when the new wave will come is what we all don't know, but there is always one thing that we know and will forever remain a constant and that's change.

There will definitely be a change in some time to come, the time to take action is now. See you at the top.
