Let's Make Cleaning Fun Again

Are you ready for the Cleaning Olympics?!? I'm your host, your guy, the one and only Michael Jamaal Harris!
Reader's applaud and stay standing... Author enters from stage right)
Hello my beautiful readers! Sit back and welcome to the Cleaning Olympics! This year I have a lot of things I must get into order. First things first, I have to straighten up my car. Was supposed to do it last year, but I procrastinated. Of course when the winter came, I made every excuse in the world. But cleaning it is a challenge. Papers and filers, oil bottles, and old appliances. It needs to go go go.
Spring cleaning is something that we all are faced with rather we like it or not, it is something that we must do.
With the spring season coming, more stories will be written. It was a blessing for me to stumbled upon vocal. The short stories and articles, allows my mind to imagine as my fingers dance on the keyboard.
Only 24 hours in a day, not much can be done but we have to do something. We can learn how to cook something new, play the kazoo, or go to the zoo.
That's right, I almost forgot, I have to get my clothes straight. My drawers are not messy, but I know I have some article of clothing that needs to hit the road and go to Good Will. In comes the Easter festive clothes and the button ups for job interviews. Was playing on going to an interview with some jeans on, a t-shirt, and my bonnet but I do believe they will not hire me.
What I really want to do is go to a sporting event. Baseball the best sport known to man is right around the corner. The best team of course is the Chicago White Sox. Tim Jackson, Lucas Giolito, Yoan Moncada, the whole squad is ready to take the field.
Growing up, I loved the fresh smell of grass. Hearing the lawn mowers in spring reminded me that baseball was back. We would have a whole parade with all the teams walking through the town. To end the parade off we all sat in the infield and outfield as they did the ceremony bringing in a new little league baseball season.
Besides the fun of the spring, we got to clean. One tip I suggest is making a basketball hoop out of your laundry basketball. Cross someone up and do a Michael Jordan dunk over them. Or do a 3 - point contest and pretend you're Steph Curry or Ray Allen draining your socks from deep.
That's what I'm going to do. Going to put some flare to this cleaning thing. Maybe created an obstacle course and at every cleaning station have sticky note of encouragement. "You're Almost Done" "Dunk that Sock" "Just Do It... Take our the Trash" "Final Stretch."
Done are the days of boring clean up. This new way of cleaning with having you wanting to clean more. You like baseball like me, well have your parade like I did when I was younger and clean the bases. Hit a grand slam with your towels and clean that tub as if your the umpire cleaning home plate.
Yes, even the dogs have to participate. Are they scared of the vacuum? Not a problem at all. Do like I do and put them in their cage and clean.
This is the cleaning Olympics! Nobody wants to visit your house if it's dirty all the time. Get your children, your husband, wife, cousins, aunts, uncles, everybody involved. If they come eat at your house, they have to stay to help clean. This is an involuntary Olympic cleaning game. All hands on deck to get the spring task done and out of the way.
Can't wait to get my laundry sock 3's up. I'm going to my the Steph Curry of the laundry NLA (National Laundry Association). Now who's ready to clean my car for me!
Readers clap loudly with socks on their hands and author exits stage left and does a fad-away 3 - point Sock shot and banks it in. End scene!
